Haugh took a caller who argues this was, in fact, sexual assault. Haugh agrees but says you can’t call it that because it’s a legal term and he’d have to say allegedly whenever he mentions the conduct in question. Ethics demand nothing less.

He’s now suggesting law enforcement will get involved, which seems like something that would’ve happened already if the dry-humped wanted to pursue legal charges.

I think some of the players who’ve anonymously reported on this are going to have second thoughts when it’s all said & done. It reminds me a little of the Jonathan Martin/Incognito stuff.

Not saying they should, but just feels like a situation where people hop onboard a moment because they have a story to tell and somebody willing to listen.

Read today's trib article. If it is to be believed, racism was a big part of this.

And my guy in E-town, in addition to confirming the racism angle, says this has been going on for years. He (Fitz) would signal to the players to do it when a freshman had a bad play.

For the level of angst these two have over the underlying behavior, there’s a massive cognitive dissonance wherein they demand those who were directly responsible for that behavior are owned an audience with the head of the athletic department because their coach was fired for what they did.
