Yes indeed. I’ve got some recordings on an old laptop that are much more lengthy than most of the clips on YouTube. A couple from spring training and other fun ones. I’ll have to upload them sometime.

I had fun with the drinky and Goff battles during the earlier B&B days on this board. I enjoyed the fight. I thought it provided for some good comedy and entertainment.

Though they'll never admit it, I think both of them learned something from me.

I can honestly say, I learned nothing from them. Two dumb asses screaming nonsense. But that was part of their charm. I will miss that.

In the early 2000's Chicago sports were by and large a sewer aside from the fluke 2001 Bears and 2003 Cubs seasons, and Chicago radio was degenerating into the bland Eric & Kathy world it is now. B&B were an oasis of fun back then.

I'd say the kids can play.

Ok yeah, the 2000 Sox were fun too, the brawls with the Tigers and beating the hell out of the Indians and Yankees back-to-back on the road. But that team pooped its pants in the playoffs against Seattle and the wheels totally fell off at the start of the next season.

I need to upload the bit about Terry's open-the-door-and-let-them-in list. The Chef is finally on the list but not Clark, who is "too tinky."

I'm not even joking that the Waffle House argument is one of the best segments they ever did. I hope everyone is having fun with this thread. 2006-2011 B&B was can't-miss.

"Do you serve pancakes?"
"Nope."
"Have you ever served pancakes?"
"Yeah."
"You did serve pancakes at Waffle House."
"You're not allowed to sell 'em, though."
"Why not?"
"Because it's a Waffle House."
"But you serve them to people."
"Yeah."
"Why do you serve them if they're not on the menu?"
"I dunno."

The only two shows I ever considered worth listening to on the Score were Boers and Bernstein and North and Buffone. In the early days I listened to North and Buffone a lot in the afternoon, because I was a graduate student at UIC and was commuting in daily from the western suburbs. This was in 2003 and 2004. You want to know what can make you insane? Drive the Eisenhower every day into the city and back, especially back during rush hour, where you are bumper to bumper through Oak Park and not going anywhere. The only thing that kept me from losing my mind was listening to North and Buffone. This was my indoctrination into the Score. I don't remember too much about the show, other than it was with two die-hard Bear fans, who were pro-Dikta, and they used to put a smile on my face. The show was the opposite of Boers and Bernstein, which was intellectual, but also off putting, because of they way they abused callers all the time. I rooted for anyone that gave Dan a hard-time, until I started calling the show myself. This went on for a while, until I became probably the only caller in Score history to be banned from the show on the air, not for using obscenities, but for confounding and embarrassing them both. I took Dan to task about his contention that Cutler was the greatest quarterback for the Bears. Of course, McMahon was. But McMahon was part of the Dikta team that Dan hates, because it had Ditka. I recalled for them the "Miracle in Minnesota", when McMahon came off the bench to throw 3 TDs to beat the Vikings, the first coming on the first play in a deep touchdown pass to Willy Gault. After seeing that game, it is beyond stupid to claim that any other quarterback was better than McMahon.

Those were the good old days. Now when I want to ever cheer myself up, I just listen to old Doug and O'B post Bears game shows. If you could capture the essence of Bears fandom in a radio program, it is in those shows.

To dovetail somewhat off that, in a discussion where Terry can't understand why Urlacher can't reel in a quality hosebag, the roster of better-suited suitors for said hosebags is read off. Eventually Tom Cruise's name shows up, and Dan explains why he's arguably so far down the list @ https://youtu.be/2tmY8Glt_kk?t=1m56s. There's no broadcast date on it but I think a reasonable +/- is 10 years.

Count the problematics: they referred to women as hosebags, called Jennifer Love Hewitt a bubble-headed idiot, slut-shamed Cameron Diaz, and called Tom Cruise a homo.
