Had to be about 15 years ago now, back when Fox had the NHL and that glowing puck. I thought the was pretty cool, but hockey purists, I guess didn't.

I'm not a die hard hockey fan or anything, and maybe the purists think the glow detracts from the game? When I watch hockey, my eyes follow the puck. Tell me I'm watching hockey wrong.

I hated that glowing puck and the red that would fly from it when it was hit hard. It was like watching a video game. It was horrible.
