The concepts of heaven and hell are a driving force for why I don't actively push my kid into Catholicism. I feel its more important to make Heaven here and then be surprised when the lights go out. I do find it very interesting that he has said when humans become extinct, God will create another species. While its not something we directly say as Catholics, its always implied that humans are the pinnacle of creation and when humans cease to exist, so does everything in the universe. |
