No. Nobody does. It sucks. NFL is way better and more popular.

LTG response to factual information about TV market size Oakland which LTG questioned it being called big?..... says GSW basketball team has never been called a big market team. a clumsy argument pivot at best... par for the course for LTG

Damn dude do you even follow the NBA? G.S. has never been regarded as a big market franchise. If that is the case Minnesota is also a big market franchise since theoretically it has the whole State of Minnesota.

There are big market teams. Bay Area doesn't qualify.

You questioned size of TV market in Oakland. Facts presented to you show it's a decent sized TV market since it includes three metro areas... You respond with something not related to TV market size.

You know it may be blasphemous to say that but i respect your honesty.

Know one has ever regarded G.S. as a big market franchise for free agents yet somehow someway they are because their market can be expanded to include San Jose

I know you don't. You're too concerned about the ghost of BigFan and the Clint Eastwood like discussion with the chair that is Keyser Soze to be concerned about anything else.

Facts about market size? Get those the hell out of here, I'm going to appeal to the authority of literally "no one"!

Glad to see that you readily accepted this as factual.

You can parse somewhere else. You admitted that the info was factual. Beat it with the game of semantics that you will readily begin playing.

So The Knicks and Nets both monopolize the entirety of the New York City market?

That is quite the feat.

If you knew anything about the NBA you'd know that there are only 3 major market cities. Since you don't I'm happy to inform you.

You're conflating a faulty ranking of the NBA markets (there aren't 30 if two have two teams) with the Nielsen DMAs. The Warriors have the sixth-largest media market in the country. Jesus Christ, this is a stupid argument.

Even if they do thay doesn't make them a big market team. Dude if you knew anything about the league (you don't) then you'd know that there are only 3 big city markets.

All of this stupid shit about "Bay Area" is just that, stupid shit.

Boston has a market that stretches from Boston through Connecticut and it doesn't make them a big market franchise.

G.S. isn't nor has ever been a destinatiion for free agents. You and a few know nothings on a message board aren't going to make it one simply to win petty arguments.

The NBA still sucks. When your finals match-up is the same 4 years running, you have a broken league. No one starts watching the games until May, which is exactly why the NFL talk dominates in March when LTG got his panties in a wad over it.

Nothing that happens in the NBA from October's start of the seasons until the 2nd round of the playoffs matters since there are never any real playoff battles with implications (teams that get 7 or 8 seeds never win) and never any major upsets in the 1st round. The NBA sucks

Boston's TV market (without including CT) is the 9th largest TV market in the country, you dolt.

You may want to provide clarity on what a big market constitutes. That would help.

See people like this are what LTG is trying to argue with. And it's a silly argument. People don't like things and they have ill-informed opinions on those things.

And it's silly to try and convince them otherwise.

By any measurable metric the NBA is at worst #3 of the 4 major sports. But some people don't like it. No amount of arguing will change that.
