Dabo strikes me as the kind of guy who’s a few beers away from telling you why the Confederacy wasn’t totally in the wrong.

Works out nicely that fake-ass preacher coach lost to the Devils.

But Swinney isn't stopping with the hair. Klubnik's bone structure, his facial features, the way he carries himself, assured and energetic -- it's all downright Dabo-esque, he said. They're cut from the same DNA.

"He could be my son," Swinney said. "He hates when I tell him that."

Sounds like a guy who’s a few beers away from telling you why some other bad guys weren’t in the wrong.

Dude like Dabo get exposed when they try the NFL, good ole' Urban was not much of a coach when he wasn't at a spot where he could buy all the best players in college football.

There are guys like Jerry Kill that are incredible football coaches that can win anywhere, but those guys are not good at selling snake oil like Dabo, Lincoln Riley, or Saban.

It was quite telling when USC lost to Tulane in the Cotton Bowl, USC pays Riley $10 million per year which is twice Tulane's entire football budget.

take a look at Urban's resume and tell me the talent disadvantage he had in the MAC and MWC. The guy can coach

I’d hire him tomorrow.

The Jacksonville thing was a disaster that wasn’t entirely football related. He wasn’t exactly Nathaniel Hackett.

Crooked as windy road, but he can coach. I wish ND would have snapped him up.

NIL's take away the primary tool of the crooked college coach, Urban can still have a "friend of the program" hand a recruit an envelope full of cash, but the kid might laugh and point to all the NIL money he will get playing for Coach Prime.

The transfer portal also stops the major programs from stockpiling talent which always allowed them to have a significant depth advantage over smaller programs.

The landscape is changing rapidly, it will be interesting to see what the power schools do to adapt.

I just don't agree with the underlying premise that it was superior talent that carried Meyer. He was not just good, but great, on his first two stops. Utah then was not the Utah of today.

I watched just a little bit of Colorado last week. My wife is a Huskers fan and I'll be tuning in to see them head to Boulder to take on the Deion's. Nebraska doesn't look very good this year but should be an interesting game for at least a half. Pretty decent rivalry back in the Big 12 days.

I’d argue he was a better coach than Saban.

He just wasn’t wired for longevity.

If MH Jr. didn’t exist, tOSU wouldn’t be in the top 10.

ND playing with zero discipline in front of a horseshit officiating crew.

There is power in unionizing...the players...as the pro leagues quickly discovered: a CBA does much more to constrain and limit the free movement and compensation levels of the players than it impacts the owners' bottom line.

8 Pac-12 teams ranked this week . . .

Is the Pac-12 the new SEC? You heard it here first, folx.

The Pac 12 schools are really attempting to screw over Washington State and Oregon State on the way out. They want to dissolve the conference and divide the assets evenly between all the schools which means not only does WSU and OSU not get anything more than USC but they also can't easily get a tv contract and they would likely have to join the Mountain West instead of merging.

Man, what an evil corporation type move. Ken Lay would be proud.
