Can't comment on my team until we play someone of consequence. The Vandy win is looking a bit less marshmallowy soft with the Commodores victory over Ole Miss. People will laugh, but Vandy isn't that bad of a team. Didn't see much in the ISU or Rice games. Wish we could have run the ball a bit better, but the Cat's are getting the job done. That CMU game might be closer than I originally thought... saw those dudes throw up over 50 points on EMU. What we know: - Persa is an extremely efficient passer with some wheels... maybe even better than Kafka - The receiving corp hasn't dropped off now that Brewer and Marchausen are gone - Quentin Davie is a friggin' great LB, but not a lot of LB depth around him - The run game still sucks... and I think it has to do as much with the line as our lackluster runningbacks - The new punter ain't bad - D-line is doing a great job clogging up the middle and getting pressure... most notably Hinsdale's Jack Dinardo What we don't know - How the Pass blocking will stack up against more sizeable competition - Can Arby Fields run North South and stop pretending he's Barry Sanders - What Dan will do with real pressure (with Adrian clayborn in his grill!) - Can the DBs compete with the burners - Can the undersized DE's really do much against Big 10 linemen |

Nice analyisis, Mud. I'd also say we don't know how well the secondary will do, particularly if the guys upfront have trouble pressuring Big10 QBs. We lost some good talent back there last year. |
