The big question for me is even though Illinois's defense has improved - you have to expect that IU will put up points against them. Can Illinois score enough to win?

Well, this thread is a big disappointment.

I think it will end up being a shootout type of game like IU vs. Michigan ended up being this year. I have zero confidence in IU's defense. I say Indiana wins 38-35.

 Sorry but there is no way I am picking Illinois.

Illinois 38
Indy 17

Leshoure has 200 yards rushing. We see multiple 3 & outs from Indiana to go with a couple picks from Henry and Hawthorne. Illinois has the ball for 38 minutes.

Scheelhaase goes 9-14 for 103 yards and 1 TD and Indiana fans become very familiar with the name Corey Liuget, maybe Bears fans should too.

Indiana loses big in this one. I think Indiana has won a total of four Big Ten road games in the past 10 years.

Bonus prediction: Purdue loses big this weekend too.

I think the Purdue-Ohio State game may be closer than people think, I am just not sure how good Ohio State is right now.

For Indiana, I think the offensive line needs to give Chappel time and IU will put up points, of course like put before with IU's defense, they will allow points.

It will be intresting to see how Minnesota plays under the new coach, because Penn State isn't playing the best right now, unless the Nittany Lions learned something on the bye.

Why, is he an oft-injured offensive lineman?

He's the best interior defensive lineman currently playing football in the state of Illinois.

Congrats Dr. Ken. I only got to see the first few mins of the game, but your team looked real solid, especially on D.

Oh well, another mediocre football team at IU. Maybe they will finally get rid of Lynch after this year.

Not saying this in a jerky way, but I actually felt sorry for Chappell by the end of that game. He was getting the snot knocked out of him but he kept hanging in there and making throws. He's a tough kid.

Maybe the Bears should draft him as he seems to be good at getting the ball out while being deluged with pass rushers.

I hope they called the facemask there.

Went to the game as I usually do for U of I's homecoming... it was nice to see us kick the shit out of someone on our homecoming instead of the other way around. I think its pretty funny how pretty much every road Big Ten game we play this year is that school's homecoming. That's the type of respect you earn for decades worth of pathetic play.

Highlight of the game: The Chief showed up at halftime in the horseshoe. Place went nuts!

Liuget agreed with me about Chappell but it still did not stop him from stabbing the guy in the heart and ripping out his soul.

Corey Liuget wrote:
“That quarterback, he's a good quarterback. We were getting some pressure and he was getting rid of it,” Liuget said. “But we pressured him and kept coming after him. We didn't hold back anything, just kept going and were relentless to the ball.”

“Eventually, it's going to take a toll on him, and we're just going to keep on coming. Then we're going to put a knife in his heart, then that's when we're going to go ahead and take his soul from him.”
