Thanks for posting this, pretty interesting stuff here. I was just wondering last night what teams the Big Ten should approach. Obviously Notre Dame would be a great fit but I don't see them getting over themselves, they better be careful though or they'll be left out of a mega conference and be screwed. I think Missouri is a natural fit. Kansas would not be a bad choice. I think it is too late now but Pitt would have been a decent addition. It will be interesting to see how things unfold. |

If ND doesn't join a "mega-conference" how would they be in any worse of a position than they are right now? People will still want to schedule them, they'd still have a huge fanbase, and they'd still be on TV. ND doesn't need to jump on any of these bandwagons unless the right fit opens up for them. |

I guess they wouldn't necessarily be screwed but they aren't able to win the way they schedule now, maybe a conference would help. Just seems like a natural fit for the Big Ten to me. |

I would assume ND could still schedule games. I guess the bigger question is that with people potentially moving to a 9 game conference schedule and only 3 non-conference, are there going to be enough schools that WANT to schedule anything other than a creampuff for their non-conference schedule? The concern is enough to worry some ND supporters. |

Is ND's other sports staying put in the Big East as far as we know? |

Big Ten claims they do not want to bring in schools that would lower the educational standards. |
