Goff irritates me, but he has a personality and is interesting. That's one.

Grote. He's entertaining. He's not condescending.

So they let Randazzo and Matty have a show, during the timeslot that will be Matt and Pat? Then announced it during B&B?

It's a shame Laurence took himself out of the running.

Grote. He's entertaining. He's not condescending.

I'd have preferred Grote, but let us not pretend this is some huge downgrade from Grote. In fact, I noticed just today that Grote will occasionally extend a word in an annoying way. Part of any of these guys' appeal is you haven't heard them enough for them to get on your nerves.

Every single fill in host was better than the Snapper, & it wasn't close. Grote, Rozner, Drinky, all better. I hope the 3 of them tell Mitch to fuck off.

Mannelly would be a step up from anything they have in the Game's 10-3 segment, with the possible exception of Ben Finfer.

Well, here it is: this is the most disgustingly obsequious thing Bernstein has ever said (non-Reinsdorf division). "I feel bad that you, my bosses, couldn't fire someone when I know you wanted to." Jesus fucking fucking fucking Christ.

Yes. He thanked Spiegel for courageously working with so many partners, and then thanked Mitch and Zim for finally hiring Mannelly after being "sensitive to a fault, host-friendly to a fault." Dan sucks.

That's well and good, but where's the appeal in Mannelly? I see none. I have zero interest in anything he has to say. I enjoy the Candyman waxing poetic about baseball.

I hope Mcneil responds.

God forbid Bernstein ever had to overcome anything in his own damn life. I understand that Mcneil is a prima donna sometimes, but Bernstein doesn't realize how lucky he is to have lived the life he's lived with family, money, and what appears to be a lack of many personal demons. Mcneil obviously suffers from some sort of depression, addiction, and a lack of motivation at times. It's easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the guy until you've gone through some of it yourself. I hope the minute Dan has to take off extended time, Zim fires him.

You don't fire a guy who brings in ratings/billing. Dan, being the great business friendly guy he is, should understand that.

You better believe that most Score hosts will be reading this board tonight & a couple of them will chime in.

It's pretty easy to say that someone doesn't have 'personal demons' just because they don't have very public and open abscenses from their job because of it. This truly isn't a shot at Mac, everyone has their issues, their past, their breaking points etc. Would probably be best not to be so quick to judge.

Anyways. Mannelly is a smart pick for ratings, bad for me listening.

I'm wondering if a guy like drinky or even Rozner defects now.

Maybe waiting to see if they got the job and now see the writing on the wall and take a better opportunity.

I mean, they got passed over by a guy who has done 3 shows in his life.

You know, I've poked fun at Dan quite a bit over the years, but thanking Mitch for not standing behind Mac anymore is really beyond the pale. It's not even fun to make fun of him for being a twat like that. It's too pathetic. It makes me angry to know that's the kind of guy Dan is.
