So Tiger said "Fuck" and "Dumb ass" and the world hear it.

I've got a question. Does CBS love setting him up with the audio to make him look bad? I can't believe that he's the only golfer that swears. But not all the golfers are miked up. It seems like he's the only one that gets caught.

Doesn't CBS have a delay anyway? Where they can cut it. I've seen this happen in NBA games on ESPN. It's almost like they know he's gonna swear and want to get it on the air.

I don't find it to be a big deal. But I'm told it's in bad form for PGA golfers to behave like that. So do the networks set him up cuz they want Tiger to catch hell?

We have a guy here who pats himself on the back weekly for predicting that a 39 year old Tiger won't win five more majors (Nobody has won that many majors after turning 39).

So you were Scoreheading? Got it.

Now as for awesome predictions look no further than me naming my dog Lionel after Lionel Messi 10 years ago....when Messi was 17 years old. That's both an awesome predicion and somewhat pedophilia-like all in one.

A lot of guys are on leader boards every week, but they don't win two majors, or jump up in the rankings, like Spieth did in fourteen months. To make up this much ground on McIlroy, who won two majors himself in that time frame, is nothing short of incredible.

I am in a contest where you pick two guys each week (can only use once per season), and he was one of my duo, who both missed the cut badly.

I know who he is. I think it's real cute the way he bounces that ball off his head.

The most popular sport in the world argument, in a golf thread, no less? Chinese is the most spoken language on the planet, should we start speaking that?

Length is way overrated in Golf. Spieth is one of the shortest hitters on tour and it doesnt matter. All of the strokes in Golf are near the green. Accuracy off the tee and a good short game = success.

Yeah, no.

He is 70th out of 202, with an average drive of 291.1 yards.

Anyone who follows golf knows that Spieth is knows for his short game and putting, not his length. There have been many big boomers off the tee who had no touch or game around the greens. The drive is overrated...but go to the range and just watch the knuckleheads hit 100 drives and no irons.

 Pretty sure Spieth hit a 285 yard 3 wood into that last hole on Sunday night.
Even the stats are skewed as they don't count drives out of the fairway I don't believe
and they don't often either hit it hard or are playing for position. I wouldn't consider
Spieth a bomber but he is absolutely not short on distance.

He is also not the straightest of drivers of the golf ball, as he would be the first to tell you he struggles with the cut. But what he is good at is sacking up, he had to hit a cut driver and 3-wood on 18 Sunday, and he did it to perfection.

Some guy named Hank Haney completely disagrees with you. I listen to his radio show and as a short hitter its quite disheartening cause all he says over and over again like a broken record is that distance distance distance is the most important thing in being a good golfer. He says you got no shot to be good unless you can hit it far. Goes on to say that the key to PGA golf is hitting it as far as you can and then dealing with any trouble that might pop up.

He had an article in the last Golf Digest that pretty much hammers home his philosophy. I don't really agree with him but I am sure there are stats to back him up.
There is something about hitting a fairway, green and making a nice run at a birdie rather than slamming a drive into a tough position, knocking it out near the green
and then having to get up and down for your par.

He is a great putter. Probably the best in the world. Everybody knows that. That doesn't mean that he is one of the shorter hitters on tour. According to those pesky facts, he is above average, when it comes to driving distance.

Scorehead wrote:

No. If I out-drive you by thirty yards, then we have a three club difference on our approach shots. I would much rather be hitting PW than a 7 iron. When Tiger still had super powers, he was smashing drives longer than everybody else. Same thing for McIlroy at the 2012 PGA Championship, and other tournaments that he dominated.

Scorehead wrote:

I agree with this completely. It's fun to just smash drive after drive, but at most, I will hit driver 14 times in a round, but probably less. The other clubs are important too. Especially the putter, which might be used 40 times in a round.

On that list, Louis is the one that really surprises me. He is a little shit.

Only took sixteen months, and got two majors. To make up that much ground on McIlroy, who won two majors himself in that span, is nothing short of incredible.

Who knew Spieth was a southpaw? Mickelson is right handed.
