How is Larry so stupid?

He's too old not to understand how corporate America works.

Sure, it' a family in good times. I guess. But I never consider my job a family even in good times. In bad times, it's certainly not a family.

We're in bad times, Larry.

The SCORE didn't want to do this. It came from above them, you idiot.

Your company is losing money. They are publicly traded and have to answer to share holders. It takes money to pay people. I know you don't understand that. Because you're an idiot.

Yeah, it sucks. Sucks for a lot of people. But you have to understand what's happening.

And once again, be grateful it wasn't you. I'm sure Mitch was thinking "Doink or Larry" before he pulled the trigger. You were the lucky one.

I don't think it's a real wife. Or for her a real husband. I think it's a marriage to satisfy the Catholic parents.

But I think he has said that she is a grade school teacher.

Bad day for me today. So I'm a little pissy and I've decided to take it out on the idiots at the SCORE.

I don't have a dog to kick so I'm gonna kick the SCORE people.

LoHo was probably just jealous that nobody invited him in to Score House.

True. Bernstein might have been able to save Connor!

Larry- Larry's playing the martyr card. He went along with his pay cut if it helps Entercom's little people. Noble family man Larry talked Camp down from a ledge after he got the news helping him navigate to the train station in his shocked state. Con man Larry actually saying listeners hurting how Camp was canned. Attacked Mitch's handling of the situation, but made sure he put Weezie Kramer up for sainthood.

Parkins- Now that Larry proclaimed there's an angry black man at the Score. All should quiver and bow. Parkins made sure to stand up for brethren Mitch. Parkins knows he'll never dig ditches with all his family of CEOs, authors and the connections they have. Mac praised McKnight for being likeable, but in the past said Carmen DeFalco was limited because he was too likeable.

Bernsie makes it easy for people to dislike him.

But he sold out NO ONE.

So let's stop at inventing fantasies that slander him unjustifyably in this scenario.

Entercom is in trouble. They are sitting on lots of debt, and have burnt their excess cash on buybacks dividends, acquisitions, and capital expenditures. I don't know how bad the revenue falloff is going to be, but I wouldn't want to be managing their balance sheet.

Now normally, election years are huge for broadcasters. This year is probably going to be muted.

They are off in the neighborhood of 70% already.

I'll let CH lament how this will ultimately corporatize radio even more.

It won't be good for anyone though.

The business has strong levels of cash flow in normal times. If things slump for a long enough time, they will need to reorganize. But the business will have no problem once the balance sheet leverage is addressed.

That is what Parkins basically said yesterday. He also pointed out that his former station was the same company which I did not know. He seems to know their ways of doing things.

As for my Bernsie theory of course it is message board tomfoolery. But there is a reason the bigger stars are still there even though they make more money. It is because when things get back to normal if they can hold on the cash flow will return faster. That doesn’t happen with nobodies on the roster.

Laurence couldn't even find time to say how and what Rick Camp did for him. To give him any credit for what went into his show since it started.

Sad that that he made it by himself.

- I took a paycut (He had no choice)

-I may lose my job for saying this

-I had to try and make sure that Rick Camp made it to the train.

-I think is important

-I didn't feel like it was a family

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. A corporation is never going to love you. It's not a family

Exactly. That's Larry, though. He uses tragedy to pat himself on the back. Never seen a guy compliment himself as much as Larry. He truly is a scumbag.

I've got a few examples listening to him through the years. But I'll give this one.

- When Bernstein got suspended for his "Boobs comment", Larry opened his show saying he almost quit over it cuz he was that offended. No. He didn't almost quit. He never considered it. But it's the type of thing you say at an opportunistic moment. Bernstein had made several sexist comments before the boob thing. Larry never said a word. But when Bernstein got suspended for it, that's when Larry jumps into action pretending he's against sexism by Bernstein. Also, Larry used to talk about women who would "Get it" from him for years. That was a running bit. Very sexist.

Larry is a phony. Always has been.

Back to Larry, he said Mitch didn't handle it right.

Ok. Fine. Mitch got orders to cut staff from his bosses.

How would the great Larry do it? What's the best way to tell people they are fired? Cuz Larry knows.

There is no good way, Larry. You fucking idiot.

There is only one way.

You just tell them they're fired. That's the only way to do it.

Sort of odd. Mitch used to be Lawrence’s agent.

I've read that many companies are doing company wide pay cuts as a way to prevent layoffs in the short-term. Obviously, if things do begin to go back to normal and/or this worsens, that will change and layoffs will result next. Companies are not matching 401K's, freezing hiring, no travel, no yearly contributions to retirement funds, etc.

I don't look for Holmes for economic advice, just like I steer clear of Dan Bernstein and Danny Parkins for their political hot takes, but was interested that this situation went to both layoffs and pay cuts immediately, but this is reflective of the state of the business.

I just hate that Larry takes events to grandstand and make himself the story or the hero. Which is what he did here. "I walked Rick Camp to the train."

And he did it with Bernstein's "Boobs" thing. Saying he was thinking about quitting. Which was a lie.

He's an opportunistic ego maniac.

Mitch was told to fire people. So Mitch fired people. Everybody at the SCORE was told to take pay cuts. So that's what everybody did. Cuz there is no choice. You either agree or you're fired. Yet Larry makes it out that it was out of the goodness of his heart.

Larry is a phony. And he's an ass hole. He always has been. He's also stupid for not realizing that people see through him.

And no, your work is not a family. You're old enough to realize that. Like was said earlier, that's just what companies say. But it's all about the bottom line. You know that. You're just pretending you don't for the sake of a phony rant. And it's not like you're a good SCORE family member in good times.

Laurence just asked Allie Quigley what its like to be on the same team as her wife. That was a little awkward.

Very awkward.

He gets like this anytime he interviews a female. It is like he morphs into 13 yr old kid that is just starting to get attention from a female.
