I fully admit that I used to hate-listen to Boers&Bernstein. I like Bernstein when he's actually sports talking. But the SJW and the berating of callers just got too much. I'd occasionally PTFB when things got too concussion-y or too Penn State soap boxy. It just wasn't interesting sports talk. Nevertheless, I'd return in a few days, in part because the 1000 alternative never did it for me, and in part because it was just a thing.

But I found myself not really interested much in giving Bernstein & Goff any of my time. And so when I tuned in today to check it out for the first time, the first sentence I heard was about the wife and daughter going to the women's march and I punched the button. And for once I actually feel like I never will come back to it again. Before when I would PTFB I knew damn well I'd be back. But I have no such feeling today.

And I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar lack of interest. It's like there's no gravitational pull, even though the main driver of that show - Bernstein - is still there and even though the Boers part has been physically gone for over a year and show-input-wise gone for far longer than that.

I've listened a few times so far and have been underwhelmed. They had some decent NBA talk today but it's not my cup of tea.

Goff has calmed down a little bit. He doesn't talk over Bernstein as much as he did Spiegel. Bernstein pretty much comes up with the topics. There has been some "Whitey sucks" and "Changing diapers" talk.

I'll give it a "C" so far. I will give them some more time to figure it out.

Could get better. But it might get worse like B&B did.

I admit, I'm not a fan of basketball, and it feels like B&G have talked a lot of basketball.

I know it's a new show, but can't help but feel that by removing all the elements (i.e. drops, 83, Second Half, Friday song, Friday Fun, Crappin'), that made B&B worth listening to, this show just seems boring. I never felt that way during the summer or fall when Bernstein had the rotating guest hosts.

I'll give it time to develop and let them find their chemistry.

The thought that people who die from drunk driving isn't tragic is terribly narrow-minded. People shouldn't drive drunk, of course. No one would argue with that. But many are people with mental issues, people who made bad decisions, and even people who didn't realize they'd had one too many. If you have ever driven in your life in a state which you may have been over the legal limit by even half a drink, you are hypocritical in acting as though the death of someone driving drunk is not a tragedy.

I was at "THE WOMEN MARCH". I even had a sign.

"WOMEN ARE GREAT"

The white women still threw drinks in my face.

Might be time to put away the pastel nail polish when you are pushing 50 fifty years old. She always struck me as very vapid with little to no personality.

I've driven fucked up more than a couple times. Like bad-bad, like I had trouble walking and it took multiple attempts just to get into the car. Got pulled over for it once before I was 21, officer made me leave my car at Elston and Berteau and drove me home.

Not proud of any of it and haven't done it in a long time. Could've easily gotten killed, probably should've gotten killed. Only thing that prevented that or harm to others is really dumb luck. I sympathize with Ventura and dont think its appropriate to say "he deserved it" when MANY drive hammered every day.

Every day, and almost every hour, it seems Goff has some racial reference. White dudes wearing shorts when it's cold; looking for a youth hockey team for his son to be the only black player; telling a story about his friend in astonishment that Mexicans work at Italian named pizza joints. That was just yesterday.

We also learned that Dan took lil Bernsie to the library for his Egyptian finance assignment and then they went golfing.

its just not interesting right now. it is a lull in sports. bulls are bad, football/baseball are not going, hockey talk is horrible radio. so they are left trying to fill the void and they are just not in tune with each other yet. or possibly ever. will listen occasionally but its not must listen to radio.

I've also learned a lot of Belize this past week. Well, at least Goff's experiences in Belize and as a dad.

I've made a lot of poor choices in my life that could have hurt myself and others but by luck did not.

speaking of the women's march, i was on the redline saturday [late-afternoon/evening] and i saw a chick standing there with a folded up sign where you could only see the word "SAD", so it effectively looked like she was standing there on the train with a label/caption of "SAD"

my phone was on 1-2% battery so i didn't take the picture =/

As political as Goff is, you'd think he would have attended. Oh wait, he has a baby. Can't live anymore.

Trust me, you're a fucking moron. There have been plenty of occasions when I had too much to drink, and I was never dumb enough to potentially ruin my life by driving a car when I couldn't see straight.

jimmy, are you losing your site? That woman on General Hospital is one of the hottest old bags in entertainment. I don't watch the show but she jumps off the screen whenever I see my wife watching it.

So, did that march accomplish anything? What was the goal anyway?

Women are now allowed to vote and are now considered our equal. Thank God for the movement.

Yeah, but I thought wife and kids were out of bounds. My wife watches this show daily and General Hospital has an endless abundance of attractive women, all ages. The hair is almost similar.
