Toward the end of the interview with Toub they were talking about the new punter and his ability to hold for field goals / extra points and LARRY THE GREAT said something like "even I could hold" or "I could be a holder"....and I heard Bernsie chime in and say "no you couldn't"...and then Larry responds "no, I couldn't do it, but..." Did a total 180 like he is known to do.

Again...I could have heard wrong but my main point with all of this is....LARRY SUCKS !!

Just like last year, Bernstein is letting anyone know who's listening in no uncertain terms that the Bears backup QB doesn't matter because if Cutler gets hurt, the season is over.

Of course, if Cutler goes down for 3 games mid-season with a Todd Collins-like backup, a playoff-level season could be ruined by being uncompetitive in those games and knocking a potential 10-win season to an 8-win season. But, keeping dismissing people in a condescending manner, Dan.

Did I mis-hear last week, or did Dan and Larry take a sideswipe at Z-Squared? I believe it was around the time their discussion of Byron Allen; Goff said it would be nice to retire from critical thinking (this statement alone deserves its own post, but suffice it to say: lollercoaster) and make tons of money stroking celebrities. Dan replied "some people at the station have done that," with Laurence chiming in that "yeah...maybe you quit here and go work for the Bears...and that's all I'm going to say about that."

I guess my point is that even putting considerations of irony aside, I was tremendously impressed at how discreetly Larry was able to spit out Urlacher's scrotum and rehinge his jaw before lobbing grenades at other beat guys for their homerism.
