or was, anyway. The only gossip from McNeil's barstool appearance was the 'culture' in 2009 (so, his 2nd go-around) https://barrettmedia.com/2025/04/18/dan ... worked-at/ Quote: The Score was an absolute disaster. From a culture standpoint, every show was on an island. The Morning Show wanted nothing to do with us. I should say ‘Mully’ (Mike Mulligan) wanted nothing to do with any of the rest of us. Didn’t want to do transitions at nine o’clock for ten minutes. He took offense to me making a joke about him being a ‘Europhile.’”

As others on this board have said, Mully's South Side Irish/affinity for England thing is bizarre. |

Didn't Mike Murphy refuse to do transition as well? Hey....What's you beef? |

He also blamed Bernstein for the 2009 Score culture. He more or less said that show didn't want to hang out either and partially blames Terry being on ISDN line for that one as Terry wouldn't have let Bernstein be like that if he were in studio. |

Cashman wrote: Didn't Mike Murphy refuse to do transition as well? To be fair, that would have required interacting with Terry, which I don't think either of them wanted. There was a M&H/Murph transition at one point but it ended quickly and acrimoniously. That was where "face-to-face, over the phone" came from. When I started listening in '06, there were no transitions between any of the shows. |

That HFC clip from Murph's highly homoerotic 1969 Cub event killed that relationship. Terry always came off worse in that whole tiff. "I will never forgive you for me making fun of you" is a weird position, but then I always felt Terry sort of lived by a personal code that was inscrutable to everyone but himself. Always seemed like the kind of guy who cuts someone out of his life and doesn't say why because he expects the other person to know why. It's a type for sure. Banshees of somethingsomething. |

So Terry wasn't in the studio with Bernstein then? When did that start? Summer of '06, when the construction on the Dan Ryan made it a pain in the ass to drive in from the south burbs every day. Then, once he started having health problems, it pretty much became a permanent arrangement where he'd ISDN in for about three days a week. Terry was the original WFH hero. |

I was waiting for him to call Bernstein "FOTS" but he didn't....damn shame |

Spoke cordially with each other on almost a daily basis. |
