Nationals may have a fire sale coming up here, would love to see what it would take to pry Scherzer away. It would all but guarantee a trip to the playoffs this year. Hopefully it would also mean at least a World Series appearance. Think the Nats would do it?

I bet they'd only have to trade Happ and Almora to get this deal done.

The money isn't the problem. Unless the Cubs are willing to part with Bryant, Baez, and/or Schwarber, among others from the 25 man roster, they do not have the players to make a deal for Mad Max.
