Hop on board. Plenty of room for you and your defibrillator in the subdivision.

It really is going to be a major fuckup by the Ricketts if Regular Season games aren't on TV.

It’s almost as if they might have avoided another teams mistakes like the Dodgers.

The Dodgers didn't make a mistake. They cashed in big time on their deal.

You could just not watch it if it's in the regular lineup.

i dont want the carriage fee associated with this dumb channel being part of base package monthly fee. if cub fans want to support their team they can pay more each month to get the channel as an add on.

This has been my argument against Comcast making it part of their standard package.

Yes, because paying for channels you never watch has never been a part of the cable experience.

My gripe with this grift is admittedly just a matter of "fuck the Cubs". I'll completely own that one.

Sports networks rarely qualify for this. They are a completely different situation from "paying" for networks HGTV and Animal Planet.

Nah nah nah. Stand your ground sj. You're 100% right on this.

Marquee is a 100% dogshit channel. What other channel has the nerve to demand an absurd $6 per subscriber for 3 hours of programming for at most 150ish days a year???

I hope Comcast stays strong in telling Marquee to fuck off

ESPN is one of the most expensive channels and is on every basic cable package and above. It was $7.86 as of 2017, and probably higher now.

Hard for posters on a sports board to fathom, but there are a huge number of homes that never tune into ESPN.

A major market like Chicago should not gripe about having two RSN's.

ESPN is a sports centric network. They cover and televise everything from NFL to Spelling Bee's.

A team centric network has no business on a basic cable package. If there are that many homes and bars that want Marquee, they can pay for it themselves.
