Can't say I blame them for making something up to get him out of the rotation, but couldn't they have come up with something a little better than "lat strain"? So easy to tell it's just a "you suck at baseball" injury.

On a side note, I bet Theo supporters just adore this signing...

E.Jax said he tried to pitch through it. Might believe him. Had similar issue when I played. You think you can pitch through it but you end up hurting team and yourself.

The ERA going over 6 must have been the tipping point.

I am a THEO supporter, but this signing represents the biggest glaring mistake made to date by Theo. I was against it even before he was signed and was very clear about it. But every GM makes mistakes and this was one that Epstein made. I certainly hole th is overflowing bucket of monkey spunk has made his last start with the team.
