Sox post-season run airing all over again

Wrapped up as a special holiday gift to viewers, Comcast SportsNet will replay every White Sox playoff game and all four games of the World Series.

And that's not all: The regional sports network also will replay the post-game coverage that followed each broadcast (including press conferences and player interviews) and will premiere two 90-minute specials ("Sox Pride: The Story of the World Champion White Sox" and "The 2005 Official World Series Film") that soon will be released on DVD.

"We're thrilled Comcast SportsNet will give our fans another chance to relive the unforgettable month of October," said Brooks Boyer, the club's vice president of marketing. "For those who still wake up doubting what happened, it will really prove we won the World Series."

It's all part of the "White Sox Holiday Celebration: Journey to the Championship," and it all starts on Thanksgiving night. The culmination will be a replay of the downtown parade and rally celebration on Jan. 2.

"This White Sox World Series Championship season has truly been unforgettable," said Jim Corno, senior vice president and general manager of Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

Under unusual arrangements with the network, the two 90-minute specials, produced by Major League Baseball, will air four times each during November and December.

Game 1 of the division series against Boston will air Dec. 18. Game 4 of the World Series against Houston will air Jan. 1.
