Can he please get out of the Sox dugout. He's 22 and he is the batboy. (I know he translates for the latin players too) It's cute until they turn 16. Plus I heard a comcast feature that he was ripping Freddy Garcia on his radio show. I'm all for free speech but I wouldn't want a guy in the dugout ripping me on the radio. I mean he's the same age Anderson and McCarthy. He probrally drinks with the guys at the hotel bar and scoops up the groopies that the players discard.

Finally, can Ozzie Sr. please stop tongue kissing his grown son after a meaningless early season win over the Royals.

You can usually find him hanging out at Reserve or Enclave when the team is in town. He's the one with all the laydees.

Have you heard his show? It's right up there with Murph, North...it's a trainwreck.

That show is just another means by which the Score is sucking up to the White Sox and their manager. Name another station in a major market that would give the manager's kid (with no broadcast experience, by the way) a one hour show IN SPANISH.

Why do you care?

So a 16 year old batboy is "cute"? That is a disturbing statement.

As you mention, he serves as a translator. The Sox would need to have somebody fill this role anyway, so why not let Ozzie Jr. do it?

As for ripping Garcia, I'm glad he did it. Somebody needs to call out that underachieving piece of crap.

He hangs out with the players and picks up their leftovers? So what? Who would not do the same thing if given the chance? (I realize that you prefer 16-year old batboys, but many of us would like to get some ballplayer-groupie-poon)

As for the father-son kisses, it is a cultural thing. Implying that there is something gay about it is ignorant. Then again, perhaps I am ignorant. You may live in a culture where being attracted to 16-year old batboys is considered perfectly normal. Good luck with all that.

Here is a huge "I'm happy for ya " but a group of buddies and myself went to Tucson for Spring ball and landed up in the same hotel with Ozzie SR and his family. We did hang out with JR on ST.Patricks day down on 4th street in Tuscon (which is a 2 mile long block of college bars) and your pretty much right on Bear, with your comments.


Jr is a very nice guy but he does work the fact his dad is Ozzie and the kid had women all over HIM and got us in to every bar in where there were 1 hour long waits to get into and we walked right in as he told the door he was with the White Sox. As funny as it sounds the players we met loved the kid and treated him like a teammate . The guy is a spitting image of his old man and everyone who came up to are table asked for his autograph thinking he was his dad . We had people sending over drinks the whole night and people taking pictures of him , thinking he was his dad ..It made the whole night for all of us as we were just laughing at all the drunks who thought he was OZZIE SR.

For the record Jr. sells booze for some liqor dist in Chicago. That's what he told us anyway ..
