Jerry can choose not to sell his 19%, but there doesn't seem to be much stopping Ishiba from slowly collecting a majority of the remaining 81%. This is all posturing around the ballpark issue.

In the meantime other teams will come up for sale. Be easy for Ishbia to pivot again and pursue some other team.

I thought this was the pivot--he was set to buy the Twins but went for the Sox instead.

Nothing on paper that he will buy the team. Better opportunity could come along.
