Kinda torn on the whole thing.

If due to financial reasons we can't spend more than $75 M as a team, then I guess a $15 M a year deal for any player is just not feasible. can't pay one guy 1/7 of the payroll.

The question is though, is $75 M a self imposed number by ownerhsip?

I guess there is some extra money though as they didn't sign any major players last year in the second half and a major attendance spike should have stockpiled some cash.

Todd Helton for $12 M? or Lyle Overbay for a prospect?
