Purely as a fan I like Thomas and Wallace better. I was just tired and done with the whole Chandler/Curry thing. Rarely did either of them have any wow type moments from what I saw and they didn't look to be improving very much considering what we were sold when they were drafted. I liked Chandler because he was an effort and energy guy but I see the same thing in Thomas with a lot more talent.

In limited time this year I've seen more memorable plays from Thomas than with both Curry and Chandler combined in their time here. Wallace for me right now is a fun sideshow. Didn't expect a ton so anything I see is a bonus. I guess I was just sick of the drama and expectations with the Chandler Curry combo and am glad to have it over with. Tyson seems like a good guy and I will keep cheering him on but I like today's situation better.

No I remember their contributions, but don't give them much weight since I didn't think they had a chance to do anything in the playoffs at the time. Again I'm coming from a casual fan point of view and was just sick of all the crap and untapped potential. I'm still glad Chandler is doing well but am happy that chapter has ended. It was just a bunch of bad memories and frustration for me.

Chandler's stealing as well, albeit not as blatantly. He's lucky Paul is able to lob the occasional alley oop to him to make up for his utter and complete inability to score. You have to admit: there is no player in NBA history with less ability to score around the bucket.

This is what everyone points out but they fail to see the reason why. Chandler didn't sign a contract until a week or two before training camp. Therefore he came to camp out. Like any smart person that is trying to sign a big money deal he didn't work out until he had a contract. He would have been retarded to risk getting injured before signing his contract. Once the season started he wasn't playing well because he was out of shape and didn't get the chance to get in playing shape because Skiles would sit him every time he made a mistake.

Look at how well Deng is playing this year compared to last. The same thing happened to him. He could play basketball because of his wrist injury last summer and you can see how much he has improves since last year. Chandler was able to work out this summer and the Hornets are benefitting from it. While the Bulls wasted $17.5M of cap money.

Nas, believe it or not you CAN work out and stay in shape without suffering a serious injury. It's amazing. I do it every day.

That's the thing: for as bad as Wallace absolutely is around the basket, he's far, far, far better than Chandler. He's shown a couple of moves, from up an unders to hooks, to reverses, and even the occasional circus shot. Chandler can't score unless it's a dunk, and he can only dunk if he's wide open; otherwise someone usually strips the ball from his "world's weakest hands."

Both, sort of. I'd say the Hornets have an exceptional guard. But that doesn't change the fact that Chandler has no scoring ability whatsoever. Someone else has to create his scoring for him.

Are you Bill Walton? This has to be the dumbest thing I've read in the last day or so. Especially considering 90% of his points come in the paint and he is shooting over 60% from the field. The guy is shooting better from the field than he is from the free throw line.

I have yet to see him make a shot from the field. I'm wondering where you're getting that stat; it seems suspect.

Are you working on a $60M contract? Of course not. Chandler isn't the only player that has done something like this. There have been other players that have gotten injured and missed out on a big payday. What would your wife say if you only got $5M instead of 60 because you got injured. It's not a smart business move.

Dude, have some integrity and give that garbage argument up. Would Jordan have sat on his ass to avoid injury in a contract year? Of course not. In fact, he'd laugh right in your face at the very suggestion. But then, Jordan was a basketball player.

Tyson will never be a defensive presence under the basket.
Guards drove the lane on the Bulls last year at will.
This year, Wallace's presence has caused the Bulls opponents to become more reliant on perimeter shots.

The Bulls are averaging 5.7 blocks this year vs. 4.2 last year, & 7.7 steals vs. 6.2 last year. Both categories in which Tyson trails Ben, as he does in assists & turnovers.
Wallace is still a more complete player who makes fewer mistakes.

Numbers lie Nas. That's why Kobe can score 60+ points in a game and Nash would still be league MVP. It's the experience, leadership and physical presence that makes Wallace better (for the Bulls) then Chandler.

You can speculate that Chandler would put up the same numbers in Chicago, but have no way of proving that he would be putting up better numbers then Wallace has put up in a Bulls uniform. You have to go by what Chandler did in Chicago and what Wallace is doing for the Bulls.

I would rather have Wallace down low then Chandler because of what Wallace can add to a championship caliber team that Chandler could not.
