Agreed. They make enough money, why do I care if they make even more money?

Should be winning team can steal a draft pick from another team! Lottery protected.

If you paid the players directly, they would play harder. But they already have money, so what would be the price? 100k? 250k? And where would the money come from because $10mil or so is a lot for the league to eat.

Stacy ripping on Vucevic. About time. Ranked 116th in PER. Raptor has him at 157th. Some guy named Poetl was eating him alive tonight. Everybody eats him alive.

DeRozan's cooked. Refs don't even help him out anymore.

They pretty much have to trade Lavine now after the way they have played with him out.

And once they ship him out Derozan has to go as well. Neither fits with how they are trying to play. The problem is that they really won't get much for either player.

I'm not sure anybody wants Lavine. That's not funny money he's getting paid. And for what? The best they're going to do is another overpaid washout.

Lavine’s not horrible. He’s just not a number 1. I could see a contending team like the Mav’s adding Lavine for some scoring depth. Outside of THJ they’ve got nothing.

45 mil for a #3 is a lot of coin. Particularly so when that #3 doesn't want to play a style of ball that is conducive to winning.

Bulls fan mentality at play here. I'm sorry guys, but Zach Lavine is just a guy.

Can really see the difference in the team without LaVine, guys actually passing the ball to Vucevic rather than hoisting up a 25 footer, defensive rotation rather than doing the matador swipe as your guy runs past you for a layup.

Of all the me first guys in the world LaVine might me the me firstiest.

It really is quite the contrast. Though Derozan has to bounce too. He plays too much iso and bogs the offense down as well. Also gives you nothing on the D either. The Bulls lost a ton of close games last season just because those 2 played hero ball in just about every 4th quarter I can think of. Bulls had back to back 30 assist games in the last week. No way that happens with Lavine on the squad.

The irony is without Lavine, in typical Bulls fashion they are going to play themselves out of a top 3 lottery pick and wind up somewhere worthless like 6-9

The 2024 draft sucks anyway. Its not like they are going to find a franchise player in the upcoming draft.

The thinking is that they are trying to hold him out until they can trade him around Jan.15th. That's when 2023 Free Agent signings are eligible to be traded. It seems like the Lakers are the team. Deangelo Russell and Riu Huchimara were signed in the summer. Personally I'd be in favor of those 2 for Lavine.

He’ll collect about $9m over the 4-week rest. Nice work if you can get it.

White and Williams look like totally different players since LaVine's been out of the lineup, the entire team is playing with way more energy and effort.

You can see that LaVine is a cancer on the court, but he really must be a massive problem in the locker room, guys seem to shut it down when he's playing.

You had the NBA hot streak from Torrey Craig last night, happens all the time where a bench guy is just on for that night and the other dudes see it and feed him, but that does not happen with LaVine because even if the dude has hit three or four shots in a row good ole' Zach is gonna kill the next two offensive possessions with some me time and then pout on the defensive end after he misses a couple one on five shots.

You can almost understand why a young guy like Williams would struggle, you run the wing waiting for the ball but LaVine ignores you and sends you to the corner so the floor is spaced for him to drive one on five, you stand wide open in the corner and he ignores you as he drives one on five, or you get a rebound and run the floor only to see that LaVine has already hoisted and missed a three after deciding to go one on five.

Voucher taking dead aim at Lavine without saying him by name

Quote:
For me, especially, when we get downhill and try to create, the ball is going to come back to me and I can (pass) to the second side for different things,” said Vučević, who had 20 points and 12 rebounds. “For us, it’s a really good way to play and I enjoy playing that way. It opens things up for everybody. When the ball is moving everyone gets the ball, gets in rhythm better, the shots are easier and the best way to get the defense to break down.”

Ultimately Billy D is to blame too. As the coach it's his job to tell and show Lavine how he wanted him to play and he never did.
