frosted celery sticks rhymes with boston celtics. and you dont capitalize things that suck. and if you are on acid, the celtics really do look like frosted celery. thats how titles are done. btw, does anyone really give a fuck about the nba right now? i just want to see lebron lose, which means kobe probably gets another one. oh well.

I thought it up in the shower this morning. Looks like Ike beat me to the punch. Did the Beef-A-Roo open up early this morning?

Yeah I am....One of the posters laid out an argument about how the Bulls could have a shot at winning in the lottery and would be able to hold on to their pick and not swap it with the Bucks. I think that has better odds of happening then this squad winning even two games against LeBron

FUCK I just lost a long post. Bottom line, I want the Bulls to miss the playoffs and get the second pick. Sign & Trade or Evan Turner if the basketball gods shine on the Bulls two years out of three.

Yeah, who wants to miss the Bulls get their asses waxed with the possibility of seeing Noah pull a Dave Dravecky with his foot as a bonus ... good times.

You realize how tremendously bad their odds are of winning the lottery right? You take that vs. the little extra money and publicity of making the playoffs, the playoff experience for Noah, Gibson, and Rose, and the possible difference between making the playoffs and not making it for a big time FA to consider. Also, Noah seems fine. He's playing great. It's terrible logic to want to miss the playoffs because one of your best players might get hurt. All this, and not taking into account that the Bulls could win a game or two. Very unlikely they win two, but they could take Game 3 or 4. I'm pretty sure even without KG noone really gave the Bulls a chance last year and that was an awesome series and gained the Bulls alot of high public opinion. It's really not a matter of knowing the NBA or not IMO, it's just simple logic. It's pretty stupid to consider yourself a fan of a team and if it comes down to winning one game or not to get in the playoffs, hoping they lose. Only Chicago fans....

Agreed, FF. This is the same crap that many seem to post every year . . . if we're not a top 3 seed, don't want to be in the playoffs at all. The experience for young players is huge.

I saw Sacremento play at Cleveland this year and Sacramento hung around the whole game before losing by 7. Anything can happen in playoff game. Here's to the Bulls winning tonight.

Post subject:  Re: RAGING Rectumbulls Take On frosted celery sticks 4/13 TNT7pm

Agreed. Any kind of playoff experience is good, especially for the Bulls young core. And it could be good to attract any free agents in the summer.

New York has a shit ton of money available next year and has basically tanked this whole season. Do you think a free agent is really going to want to go there? That team is a mess. Kind of like the Bulls back in 2000. I think people are underestimating the position NY is in this offseason.

Tanking makes sense when your team is complete shit, and your next season’s outlook isn’t good either. If you are rebuilding, then tank away. The Bulls are in a position to be a top 4 team in the east next year if they sign a big name free agent. Tanking would only hurt that possibility.

I see what youre saying NSJ and FF.

But I do think their are some situations where it would be better not to make it. Like if we were heading into the LeBron draft. LeBron, Carmello, Bosh, might be worth taking a chance in the lottery. You dont have to win it but getting any top 7 pick is sometimes better than the playoffs.

I had no idea their odds of winning the lottery were tremendously bad....how enlightening. Their odds of beating the Cavaliers and LeBron in a 7 game series are even lower than the miniscule odds of them winning the lottery IMO. I think it will be fine if the Bulls make the playoffs and get to have a playoff atmostphere yadda yadda yadda but I do not think that Rose will all of a sudden be able to take the next step as a ball player just because he was part of a team that got their ass waxed in the first round of the playoffs. And while you may think that it is stupid to consider yourself a fan of a team and root for them to not make the playoffs you are missing the point here. I do not root for playoff apperances. I root for championships. If the Bulls do not come away with a premier free agent this off season none of this matters. Are you going to sit back and tell your grandkids about a scrappy Bulls team with a terrible coach that made it to the playoffs just to lose in the first round two years in a row? And please do not try to say that all Chicago fans are meatballs or stupid because you happen to disagree with the stance of a few of them on this issue. God knows there aren't any other "idiot" fans in any other city in the country. Indeed.
