When talking about Derrick Rose, Van Gundy said:
‘‘He’s an exceptional player, and . . . I think he has an exceptional attitude also,’’ Van Gundy said. ‘‘He’s a different breed. He’s all about winning and the team and trying to do what he can to get better. He’s the real deal as a player and a person and a teammate. They’re very, very lucky to have him.’’. . .
‘‘He’ll continue to get better because he just seems to me to be the kind of guy who is still trying to get better. He doesn’t seem to be the kind of guy who thinks he has all the answers and is all wrapped up in his greatness. He seems like a guy who’s trying to get better all the time, so why wouldn’t he get better? He’s willing to work, and he’s got the right attitude. He’s a hell of a player.’’http://www.suntimes.com/sports/9835617- ... -sore.htmlIt seems obvious to me that he is inversely speaking of Primadonna Dwight, whom, per Stacey King during last night's game broadcast, went out of his way to SCOLD his coach like a little baby for "yelling too much", leading to Van Gundy to change his approach.
This guy is a T.O. - Keep him. He could never get along with Tibbs, who yells WAAAy more than Van Gundy. I wish we still had Kurt Thiomas, though. although we whupped 'em, Big Sexy never took shit from ANYONE, even Howard.
What channel on Comcast broadcasted the game? I couldn't find it.
As to Dwight, he is def. a prima donna.
