I can make a very strong argument that he is. This guy wins with YMCA players. He should win CoY but I know he doesn't have a chance. He does a helluva job. |

I wish he was the best playoff coach instead. |

I think he is on his way. Last year they took a shot to the gut with Rose and Noah going down. |

The only other possibilty is Pops; at worst I think it's a tie frankly. |

Agreed; it's kinda two sides of the same coin .... Thibs has done well when backed into a corner .... Pops does well backing himself into a corner by his choices for resting players while still having an intelligent rotation amidst it all. |

I think the question is unfair to Thibs. He's taken his roster as far as it can go in each of his two years in Chicago. If he had a championship-type squad but failed to make the Finals, then you could make the argument that he's only a regular season type guy. He hasn't had that kind of roster, at least not yet. I just hope he doesn't lose the team the way Skiles did. They are very similar. |

I agree. I think Thibs can turn that gametime intensity on and off in his day to day life, while Skiles is just an amped up prick 24 hours a day. |

That's what I hope. All we know is he's very demanding, and when you impress that demanding nature upon your team the wrong way, you become overbearing. Hopefully he's maintaining a balance between being demanding and being aware of the physical and mental states of his players in an 82 game season. |

Thibs does remind of Skiles but I believe he's more polished. Skiles comes off like Doug Collins. They are great coaches but it appears they don't have great people skills. Players tune them out after a few years. |

I wonder if Collins is clearly burned out at this point out in Philadelphia. For lack of a better word, the Sixers were considered a "sexy" pick by quite a few NBA experts this season after they knocked out the Bulls in Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs a year ago once Derrick Rose & Joakim Noah went down due to injuries. |

1. Yes, the Bucks tuned out Skiles. 2. Yes, Doug Collins is burned out. |

The Bynum trade destroyed that team. The Magic probably won that deal. |

I think losing Iguodala, Vucevic, Harkless and a 1st round pick for that bum Bynum hasn't helped Doug very much this year. They also lost Lou Williams. Andrew Bynum? He didn't play a single game in that trade. Talk about getting fleeced! |

Sanders still looks great. He's an asshole and needs to hit the weight room but his future is bright. |
