I think this understanding presents difficulties because of the interchangeable use of the words described above as it absolves those minorities (in the US) from guilt for some unpleasant thoughts and actions that are identical in kind to what they would describe as racist if created by someone in the majority

What happened to that guy was not prejudiced or bigotry though. It may not have come from a place of superiority but it doesn't make it less wrong or somehow better.

If Blacks wanted to prevent Trump from being president they couldn't. Many did in fact. Conversely If Whites wanted to prevent Obama from being President they could have. Blacks did not have the power to elect Obama solely on the black vote.

In this instance no. If whites chose to manifest it in a way which denied blacks access to the Presidency they could. It doesn't apply to every instance but within the framework of an electoral system it could be. Barack Obama could be denied access to the Presidency If Whites Didn't Vote For him.

Racism at its very core is a denial of access. Whites have the power to deny blacks access to any entity for which they seek. Blacks don't have such power to do the same. Blacks can be biased, prejudiced, discriminatory but their biases do not systematically deny whites anything. That is the fundamental difference.

It is difficult to ascertain. I don't know what the maximum sentence happens to be but I think they should receive at least 70% of it. There will be people that will argue about their age and there will also be those that will attempt to use race as a way of providing a defense for them. I honestly don't think it should fly though.
