I don't know that this is a terribly unpopular opinion.

Trump's election victory was more the result of pro Trump and not Anti Hillary vote.

Yup.

Your take on grilled cheese and tomato soup is more offensive than anything that can be said about race.

Ground turkey, when used correctly, is 95% as good as ground beef and the difference is close enough to use it.

The only major issue is that it doesn't seem to fill you up quite as well.

Consider adding ham inside and adding salt and spices to the buttered outsides (before frying, not after), then get back to us.

The question is why would you? Obviously the old 70/30 ground beef that our parents bought was on the unhealthy side by it's pretty easy and cost competitive to buy 85/15 or 90/10 beef these days which puts it right in line with most ground turkey.

This is how 4 ounces of ground beef compares with Butterball ground turkey.

90/10 ground beef = 197 calories, 22.4 grams fat, 4.5 grams saturated fat
Butterball ground turkey = 230 calories, 17 grams fat, 5 grams saturated fat

I'm not sure which Butterball ground turkey you are using but the 93/7 stuff is 150 cal, 8g fat, 3.5g saturated fat.

I'm with you on this one. I always substitute turkey for beef when making chile.

If you are doing burgers or tacos*, ground beef is a must. (*obviously not for steak, chicken, or pastor)

In chili, pasta sauces, sloppy toms, hamburger helper, etc, ground turkey is just fine and in some cases preferred.

We do turkey tacos and turkey burgers all the time.

If you prefer turkey from a price or taste standpoint then to each his own. But if it's from a health standpoint then I still say why bother...particularly when you acknowledge a preference for the taste and apparent "filling" quality of beef.

95/5 ground beef = 150 calories, 5 grams fat, 2.5 grams saturated fat

 This is quite a rabbit hole. Why not just use 100/0 ground beef? That has 0 fat!

To me, and it may be just because of how high the fat content is of ground beef normally, ground beef with a fat content of 10% or less tastes strange. I bought the 95/5 stuff once and didn't realize it and it was noticeably bad. Meanwhile, the 93/7 ground turkey always works out.

So, I guess the answer to your question would be that ground turkey tastes nearly as good while being much healthier compared to the comparable option of ground beef that would also taste good.

I don't know why they call this Hamburger Helper! It's just fine by itself. I like it better than Tuna Helper, don't you, Clark?
