Post subject:  Weird Coincidences
Was at a party tonight and the host let me know that Tributosaurus was his favorite live act.

I inquired about Spiegel and he had no idea that he did a radio show.

Favorite live act? Like just cover bands, or in general? Either way is bad but if it's the latter that's hilarious.

Aside from Spiegs I can see why a band like his could be enjoyable to see once in a while. Most of the bands I truly love rarely if ever come around anymore. When they do they charge 300 to be a former shell of themselves. See a different take for a few bucks and some beers can be an ok evening.

Speaking of cover songs. I know most people do not like them but was there a song you wished an artist you liked covered? For me it was Prince covering All Along the Watchtower. I know it has been done a million times but I love the song every time I hear it no matter who does it,can not help thinking his rendition would have been something special.

We saw them a couple years ago. Did a good job with CSN&Y. Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg is a nice small venue (serves liquor, too).

My brother in law was born early the next day after the Hampton assassination. He has the same name as a person killed that day, unknowingly by his parents. He ate regularly at Ceres and always had the same waitress. One day he was with my FIL, who, as he always does, struck up a conversation with her. He found out she was engaged to the person with the same name.
