Post subject:  Happy Holidays Texts From Work
I work in a small office and we have a text chain that pretty much includes everyone in the office. On most major holidays someone will send a "Happy X" text, which then compels most other people to respond in kind. I never respond to these texts because I don't want to encourage more work texts on holidays. Am I being a jerk, or is it inappropriate to send texts to your coworkers on a holiday?

Hell no. Fuck group work texts.

If they wanna wish a happy easter, then just send a fuckin email to everybody. People shouldn't be jamming people's personal phones with texts and then everybodys replying creating more noise and distractions. These are just coworkers, not friends.

My uncle randomly texts out a gif of a turkey chasing a pilgrim thru the year. You could do that.

I would just not replay but it's not tough to punch in Happy Easter and be done.
