Yeah, when I visited last summer, it seemed like almost every driver on the North Side was getting stoned. The stench in traffic on Milwaukee, Belmont, Lincoln, Damen, etc was overwhelming.

Get very used to it, because it's a lot healthier than alcohol

But it still clouds your brain with long term use. It only takes a few days to clear it up, even if you smoked for years... But those few days are what people don't want to go through so they keep smoking.

I personally don't care one way or the other about people enjoying it, but modern weed* clearly smells like an odor emitted by a skunk (seriously) and nobody thinks a skunk smells great.

*Pot has always had a distinct scent, but I don't recall it smelling like skunk when I was a teen.
