Interesting to contrast with Poles. He does tear up a bit as well. Big day for these guys. Overall though, I think that Kwese does a nice job. I'm pleased with the hire.

Bummer, Ryans was my 1st choice.

49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans declined a second interview with the Vikings, Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports.

Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell had his second interview Monday. Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh remain in the running. Harbaugh will fly to Minnesota on Wednesday.

No one wants to work for the Vikings or Jaguars.

I guess not. Of those that are left, I don't want O'Connell as he doesn't even call the plays. Harbaugh is a pipe dream. So, that leave Morris or Graham and either of them would be fine.

#Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham is wrapping up a 9-hour interview with the #Vikings in Eagan; he spent the day with people throughout the organization, after new GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah had Graham on his short list. Now, to see what comes of Jim Harbaugh’s interview.

Sounds like Graham will either be hired if Harbaugh says no or they're playing a game to get Harbaugh to decide immediately.

Agree. Tomorrow will be interesting. Graham wasn't my 1st choice, I preferred Ryans from the 49ers, but I trust the new GM and management.

Graham must be a joke. Like anyone from that organization.

I’ll find this fascinating. He’ll enter as the best coach in the division with a roster that has some really good players. That team could easily win the division next year despite a shitty 2021.

That offense has some great players. Miami needs to do the right thing.

Not a bad comp, both are above average QBs who get lumped in with the Mitch Trubiskys and Andy Daltons of the league every year by dipshits who know fuckall about football.

They're lesser versions of Russell Westbrook. You look at their numbers and say, "That guy must be really good." Then you watch them play and learn almost immediately that they aren't winning players. Cousins moreso than Stafford.

Cousins has played with significantly more talented teams for roughly 2/3 of the past 50 games.

The Vikings will likely win the North next year.

Fuck the Bears.

I would be surprised if they don't win 11-12 games.

Any pressure on cousins and the play is over and best case he doesn't turn it over or get sacked. Stafford >>> cousins

Anything less than a Super Bowl and the hire was a failure.

I expected to be more impressed with him based on his background. For someone who stresses the importance of humility as much as he does, he doesn't strike me as being particularly humble. He seems to have a lack of self-awareness that would trouble me if he were a job candidate with my organization.

Further, his description of himself and his qualifications seems rather rehearsed, as if he is someone who isn't yet fully comfortable as a leader/football executive and is therefore reading from a script to remind himself of his identity and core values.

This is just a preliminary reaction since I haven't finished watching the press conference. Maybe my view of him will improve as I move through the recording. So far, though, I would rank him a level or two below Poles but above Ziegler, the new Raiders GM.

Kwesi will be subservient to Harbaugh(who will be the "true" GM). The Vikings are going to own the NFC North for the next 5-10 years.

They will get a helluva lot closer than the Bears, I promise you that.
