In talking about the Bucks, Bill Simmons also mentioned that guys like Monta Ellis & Brandon Jennings might not want to stay with Milwaukee long term. He also mentioned the possibility that the Bucks might relocate to Seattle if the whole deal with the Sacramento Kings falls through.

Not true.

OKC, that's what Bill Simmons said.

Well, he's wrong.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't Kelvyn Sampson an assistant under former Bucks' HC Scott Skiles as well as soon to be ex-interim (again) Jim Boylan?

Another guy with Bucks' ties is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, once known as Lew Alcindor. He's been interested, but hasn't gotten a bite of the coaching apple. Would he want to coach his former team if they called?

Kelvin

The kelvin is a unit of measurement for temperature. It is one of the seven base units in the International System of Units (SI) and is assigned the unit symbol K. The Kelvin scale is an absolute, thermodynamic temperature scale using as its null point absolute zero, the temperature at which all thermal motion ceases in the classical description of thermodynamics. The kelvin is defined as the fraction 1⁄273.16 of the thermodynamic temperature of the triple point of water (exactly 0.01 °C or 32.018 °F).

I only brought up Kelvin Sampson's name, not only because I thought he was a Bucks' assistant, but he had a brief cup of coffee at Indiana University as their head coach. Long before Tom Crean brought the IU program back to respectability.

Wasn't Crean a former Marquette coach?

Yes...And Marquette shares the same arena as the Milwaukee Bucks...The BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Are you talking about the Kevin Stallings lookalike Tom Crean?

Yes, and I believe the head coach at Michigan St. was Tom Izzo. Isn't that funny, they share the same first name.

I'd vote for Hugh Jass, but that's just me.

Jim Boylan is out as Bucks coach, source indicates. He went 22-28 at end of season after replacing Scott Skiles.

Good luck, Hawger!!

:bounce:

Not surprised. Jim Boylan didn't last long when he replaced Scott Skiles here either.

According to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, the top 2 targets for the Bucks' job are indeed Kelvin Sampson, as well as former Heat & Magic HC Stan Van Gundy, currently an NBC Sports Network analyst.

Stan is a good coach. I hope they get him. He'll clean house.

He would be an upgrade, but I'm not sure who he'd coach up there in Milwaukee considering the ownership situation and rumblings a couple of players already want out. Brandon Jennings? Monta Ellis? Not sure what these players' contract are like...

I tried for 5 minutes to come up with something funny or clever to respond back to you. Nothing.

So, yes.

Wouldn't you have to be funny or clever to do that?

Van Gundy is the right pick.

Good luck with Kelvin Sampson as your coach.

It's fine. SHARK hasn't been relevant on the CSFMB in at least 2 years.
