Lonzo rebounded from a poor game to play really well last night in the win over Dallas.

12 points on 4-6 shooting, 3-3 on 3's. 7 assists, 4 rebounds, 0 turnovers.


Starting unit of Lebron-Lonzo-McGee-Kuzma-Ingram looked really good with great pace. Hopefully they build on that.

He hasn't been anything close to what he was hyped to be. If he were they wouldn't have signed consummate insurance policy Rondo. They along with everyone else have already tempered their enthusiam for him and as the pecking order goes for the Lakers younger players he is probably the 4th best at this point . Hardly a transcendent player and definitely not the player that this guy has continuously billed him to be.

He sounds stupid (and for some reason rarely is called on it) for repeatedly pontificating on how well the kid is playing when he puts up the sort of numbers that you get from guys like Cameron Payne.

He may have been the only one predicting greatness but there were MANY that believed he was good. No one besides me and 312 thought that he was a bust.

Others appeared to be cautuously optimistic that he'd turnout somehow. They bought into the "No Great Shakes" Bullshit. Big Chicagoan let him have it as time went on but 312 and I were all over this one in the door.

I don't want to get too excited because it's a limited sample size, but it looks like the light bulb may be starting to go off in Zo's head thanks to a meeting with Bron, Rondo and the coaches where they told him to stop shooting 3s and start being more aggressive. In the 3 games since that talk he looks like a completely different player. Now he's trying to take the ball to the hole just about every time he touches it. He's only taken 6 three's in that time span and has made half of them. His finishing needs to improve, but that will come with confidence. He's getting to the rack and missing some bunnies...once he realizes how much time he has he'll start making more of those.

Either way, very happy to see Zo start to turn it around. He's starting to play really well. People forget that he has only played 70 career games and missed the entire offseason and most of the preseason with knee surgery.

Lonzo was on his way to a 4th straight good game when he rolled his ankle late in the 2nd quarter and was out the remainder of the game. did play 2 minutes in the 3rd, but that was it. Said afterwards that he'll be good to go next game though. Team was still in it while Lonzo was playing. he had 7 pts on 50% shooting, 5 boards a couple assistgs and no turnovers in the half.


Hopefully he's ok on Thursday, been very encouraged by his play lately. Him and Lebron starting to develop some really good chemistry together.
