This is a devistating injury to a younger man. I can't imagine that Kobe comes back from this quickly or well... He might play more but that's the end of "Kobe" as we know him. |

It can add 10 more years to his career. He could be the Jamie Moyer of basketball. He might top every record on the books, including Wilt's infamous record. Come on! It's Derrick Martell Rose who will be back before Kobe Bryant. If Rose doesn't play 1 minute for the Bulls in the final 2 games of the regular season and doesn't play 1 minute of the Bulls' NBA Playoffs, I think Rose will be good to go when the Bulls report for Training Camp in October. As for Bryant, the Achilles he tore is a 6-9 month recovery period and he hinted to NBA.com that he might retire after next season, coinciding with the end of his contract with the Lakers. By my math, Bryant's return should be around January of next year. |
