Maybe the timing has more to do with a recent gassing of Syrian citizens?

That was a week ago. This was such a horrible offense that we... waited a week. Cool.

They appear to have taken time to confirm the attack and gather Intel on what if any banned weapons were used. As of yesterday as I understand it, the reports were not complete.

FWIW, the stuff Baby Mac is saying is the same stuff the Berkley professor was saying on BBC earlier.

Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart!” You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!

So you would assume that since "they will be coming" that we were well past the "who, what, where" stage of the investigation right? Especially since the places we bombed were being / had already been cleared out?

Dude on BBC kind of shut him down and called him on his bias.

The professor. Not Baby Mac.

I know who you are referring to. He was on BBC 2 nights ago as well. I doubt he'll be back as BBC tends to like their guests to bring facts rather than talking points. He'd be perfect for Don Lemon's circle of morons though.

Many dead, including women and children, in mindless CHEMICAL attack in Syria. Area of atrocity is in lockdown and encircled by Syrian Army, making it completely inaccessible to outside world. President Putin, Russia and Iran are responsible for backing Animal Assad. Big price...

Doesn't seem like he is confused about who did it.

The places we bombed were manufacturing facilities for chemical weapons. I don't think you can just pack up and move that stuff in a few days. These sites have been under surveillance so if the materials were moved, we would know exactly where they were and would've targeted them. I don't think you realize how many eyes are on Syria at all times. This isn't an airbase where you just fly the aircraft off and to another base.

Also worth noting that Russia did not engage their air defense system and the Syrian air defenses only got 10-13 missiles out of appx 120 fired at them. So much for the vaunted Damascus air defense network.

The one chemical place had already bee hit. The 2 airfields were cleared out this week.

Well the British cabinet did not approve the action until last night, which did not grant enough time for action be taken Thursday night as assets had to be moved and readied. We were clearly not launching this unilaterally and needed to wait on the Brits and French so literaly tonight was the 1st possible night to launch if it wasn't going to be unilateral.

I know I'm talking to a slightly functional retard here, but even you should be able to figure this one out.

There are better targets to hit at an airfield than aircraft. Aircraft require a large amount of logistical support to remain operational and airworthy. Take out that support infrastructure at the base and the aircraft there are as good as useless. We're talking maintenance hangars, munitions depots, fuel service lines, etc.

He pardoned Scooter Libby earlier today and by doing so sent a clear signal to his former colleagues what they can expect from him in due time.

And Rod Rosenstein sunk Comey today as well.

Of course reports are a bit vague at the moment but I'm not hearing airfields at this time.
I think I remember hearing the Israelis hit an airfield Sunday but maybe I'm not remembering correctly...

Dumayr Airbase was one of the targets of the coalition strikes tonight. I believe it's the base where the helicopters that carried out the attack were staging from.

The base Israel hit was T4, which is an Iranian base in Syria. They hit that base in February as well.

Did JORR tell you to post this? Did you read this on some right wing science blog? I've had the same opinion about us intervening in other nations issues for years. I critcized Obama for shit like this for 8 years. You probably had the same opinion until Trump or JORR told you to change your mind. How about you try to come up with an original thought instead of being a mindless puppet?
