C'mon. He shoved him. I think it's a stretch to say it was workplace violence. While obviously you'd rather not have the situation happen, some workplaces lend themselves to getting a little more heated than others. These arent 9-5 cubicle jobs.

There is a difference in a sports realted environment (on the field/court/locker room) and then the seperate environment of the suits in a front/business office. These two pushing/shoving/threatening each other is the same as the marketing VP and the ticketing VP doing the same thing. You think that would be ok? Of course not. These are upper-management guys in an office.

I don't think the size of the participants have anything to do with this. If it's right, defend that, if it's wrong, defend that position.

As for the players caring, are you saying they didn't care before Paxson did this (or care enough?)? Will they win more games now that Paxson has proven to the players that he cares? I'm not understanding your point here.

Challenging someone who works directly under you to a fight doesn't mean you care, it means you're a fucking meathead. I know I'd be thrilled to play for a GM who in the face of adversity threatens a coach instead of doing something professional.

Wouldn't Noah or Rose prefer Paxson make the team better as opposed to picking a fight with a coach who's going to be fired? If they make a great free agent pickup in the off-season, I think that will make their core feel better, I doubt that the team is feeling any emotional pickup over what Paxson did.

It's a good thing Pax has given his fatherly advice that if you have a problem with someone you should challenge them to a fight. Hopefully the impressionable Bulls players take his advice and become complete loose cannons and go Artest on anyone that dare cross them. I'm sure future Bulls coaches will thank their lucky stars Pax has decided to bestow his wisdom on them. I'm sure potential free agents would love to play for a VP of BB that has done such an excellent job of assembling a team the only avenue left for improvement is threats of violence.
