https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/43324617/northern-illinois-join-mountain-west-football-only-26 This seems like a massive mistake to me. The MWC pays more but it's not a massive difference especially since it messes up all your other sports unless the MAC is desperate enough to let them stay in those. |

Horizon league is a better fit for other sports. They can not compete in the MAC as in most sports outside of Football and Wrestling. |

It seems like a lateral move, but it's not as if they are turning their backs on some sort of longstanding rivalry by leaving the MAC. They might as well take the money. |

and new england isn't a hot spot for high school football but UConn was decent at football this year. Mora has them on the rise |
