I don't think hard news exists in Rockford. In fact, I don't think Rockford is a real place. SHARK, you are just making shit up now. What would the James Carville looking Lex Luthor think of this?

Rockford is a real place, SJ. What's the matter with you? Bernsy used to work there when there was a team called the CBA Rockford Lightning. Long before he joined The SCORE.

More crap you're making up. Let me guess, the James Garner looking Jim Rockford worked in your "Rockford". I blame the Svengoolie looking Rich Koz.

Slow your role Bernstein. It's the press conference. He has to say he wants kids to get a degree.

Ok maybe Bruce Weber lite was giving the guy too much credit.

At least he grew up cheering for a good team, all down hill from there.

My GF lives in Waukegan and she says that the people there would rather go to Milwaukee than Chicago any day, because of all of the bad things they hear about the city.

That was outstanding. I think all press conferences should have a gallery of goobers applauding for stupid pandering.

Smile Politely doesn't seem to smile very politely at big city media! I like that after all that rambling about being a boxer who tries to knock out the opposition in every round, Rick Morrissey asked "does it surprise you that people are skeptical of your barely-.500 MAC record?" he himself seemed knocked the fuck out. Dead. Air.

The Pat Foley Hawk Ford spot, did they record him in an empty high school gym? Christ. Pride in your work, guys.

They must've caught him in a parking lot with a portable recorder and asked if he had a minute. That's okay, he's just a professional broadcaster endorsing a client in a major media market. nbd

Yeah, I know several people who avoid the city at all costs. I love it as long as I dont have to drive in it.

Northern Lake County is a little backwards. To be fair, Milwaukee is easier to get to and has less traffic than going to Chicago. Airport is better, too.

I'm the opposite. I love the offensive driving in Chicago.

I remember a few years ago, I was in B-N for the day and went to grab some lunch. There was a sign on the door of Jimmy John's blaming Chicago for a sales tax increase. I loled.

And yeah, Lake County north of Grayslake and Kenosha County south of Route 50 is kind of a strange little buffer zone, isn't it.

It starts in Grayslake...that is a weird little town. Unfortunately, it also has the closest 7-11 to the house.

Didn't he say that he wants people who will work "towards a degree"? Why is Bernstein upset about that. All coaches want that because there are penalties and possible scholarship losses if you have too many players fail like that. Even one and done players need to work towards a degree.

I've found Grayslake to be fairly normal in my travels. Round Lake Beach is depressing. Zion...hoo boy, the stories of that place.

This is why you have ball boys on scholarship. Get a couple EE majors for the end of the bench and go get some boxers.
