I've got a feeling Terry & Dan B.'s afternoon show will be dominated by one of three big news stories. One of them is that the Saints got absolutely hammered by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for the whole "Bounty-Gate" scandal. The second is Bernsy's buddy Tim Tebow getting dealt to the Jets and the Broncos getting a 4th Round Pick. And now, it appears as if Illinois will NOT be getting VCU head coach Shaka Smart to fill the men's head basketball coaching vacancy in Champaign, says the Sun-Times' Herb Gould.

I'm sure the guys will have plenty to say about these stories, and probably very little about a couple of Chicago stories definitely lost in the shuffle. The Bulls, minus Derrick Rose and his groin injury for a 5th straight game, head up to Toronto for the first of a home & home with the awful Raptors at the Air Canada Centre. Barry Rozner's favorite team the Canucks are here tonight to face the Blackhawks at the United Center. The Hawks are seeking their 5th straight "W" with Corey Crawford in the net this eve following a solid road win in Columbus last night. All of that plus more "Tournament of Bad" games to be played starting at 2p via tournamentofbad.com. A lot of ground to cover...

So we get a show with yet more ignorant baseball talk with more bad thoughts AND a show dominated by Tim Tebow talk?

I bet this talk will dominate the rest of the day and into the night on The SCORE. I don't think Chris Rongey will be talking about that come 6p when "White Sox Live: Presented by Miller Lite" takes over with Ranger live from Glendale, AZ.

Obviously Smart is the hot choice because of what VCU did last year in the tournament. But does that really prove that he can recruit like the big name coaches?
