He was brought up too early for his first season and has been learning on the job. Most of what you have seen should have been starts in the minors under little scrutiny. He was pretty dominant in the second half of last year.

You know what happened this year. He is still in spring training except it is in front of MLB players on playoff runs.

No one is denying his stuff but you need more than just stuff to be successful.

It's a lost year for him. The injury to start the season clearly has him way out of sorts. Odds are greater now that he never puts it together than the other way around. He'll have the rest of this season and all next year to figure it out, but the Sox have too many talented young arms coming in the next 27 months to keep waiting on a Carlos Rodon that may never arrive.

I think an Andrew Miller career path is very likely with him, which could be great if I was confident Rodon would still be on the White Sox when he turns himself around in the pen.

Sure but as I said, he was learning at the MLB level but had turned a corner in 2H 2016. Now he is coming back from injury with no ST. He will be better.
