It is very unfortunate, but it's a beer and a little weed. Lets keep things in perspective. This is a kid that is what, 21? I can't even guess how many times in college I drove home plastered. I was lucky enough to not ever get caught and learn the hard way, not to take such chances. I find it difficult to be too harsh in my judgement here. I would guess that he will be given probation and a small fine. Hopefully, he will learn from this and make better choices in the future. If I had never done any such things in my life, perhaps I might judge him more harshly. But I find it difficult to call someone an idiot or moron, when he has just gotten caught doing something that I don't see as uncommon. If he did something that harmed another human being (Rape, Battery, etc) I would be much more upset with him. I just hope it's a one time thing. |

Noah smokes weed, no way. Noah, you're famous, you're a millionaire, you don't carry weed on you. Let one of your buddies carry it. If they get busted you bail him out and smoke him out. |

If he's gonna smoke, do it at home. He should know better. He's an ass for getting caught. |

Wait a minute!!! How can this happen? Noah wasn't born in Chicago. How was he influenced to do pot? This is only suppose to happen when teams draft home town players. Also, how was Noah late for games last year? How come he got suspended last year for fighting with a coach? I thought that was impossible. Once again, he isn't from Chicago. He didn't have home town friends here to teach him how to be bad. This shit isn't suppose to happen. I'm stunned. |

No excuses needed. I'm not going to crucify the guy, but this was a really dumb thing to be caught doing. |

Can Chicago teams ban #1 picks from returning to their college towns? Nothing good seems to come from it. |

Why don't they just ban them from being criminals? No matter where they are. |

Well, yeah. I don't know why anyone would willingly choose to go to Gainesville. The poon I guess. I'd still rather go to any beach city in Florida. Daytona, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, anything. |

Gainesville police spokesman Sgt. Rick Roberts says Noah was arrested around 1:50 a.m. Sunday after an officer spotted him on a sidewalk holding a plastic cup containing an amber drink, a violation of city law. During a search at the station, officers found marijuana in his pocket. yet Bulls spokesman Tim Hallam"Until we gather further information on this situation, we won't be making any further comment." |

Joakim Noah needs to grow up and quickly in my opinion. While he seemed to play much better and took over as starting center following the Ben Wallace trade, Noah's first season in Chicago will be remembered for a series of incidents. Despite denying it on the Mike North Show, there was a rumored blow-up in the locker room with Wallace in Orlando, being tardy for practice & shootarounds, and Noah getting a 2 game suspension for a pregame incident before another game in Philadelphia. When the players added an extra game, it was also a slap in the face and undermined whatever authority Jim Boylan hoped to have as the interim head coach. While we don't have all the facts, Noah needs to be more responsible & careful for what he does off the court. Noah's arrest is another headache for GM John Paxson to deal with. |

If I am in a strange city I of course and going to walk around with a beer on a public street.... It wasnt a strange city. It was where he played college ball for four years. Im guessing he was pretty familiar with it. |

Nas-I agree about Noah's performance level this past year. I expected less than he provided. If he can add some size/strength, I think he will be a meaningful player. His offense is weak, but there was improvement and his rebounding was good. Defensively, he is too lightweight and gets pushed around. But he usually was one guy you could count on effort from. |
