Derrick Rose and M-Jeff could have never coexisted.

Imagine Scottie in his prime on today's Bulls team playing with Derrick Rose. They'd be the best team in the NBA right now.

I will take Scottie because a 2 year old Rose is not championship material.

Pippen was the Point forward. KInd of the first to ever play that pos.

But Come on. Rose is twice the scorer that Pippen ever was. Rose would have taken some pressure off of Jordan to bail out just about every possession with a shot clock beating drive, post up fade away (I loved his fade away) or face upjumper. KInd of like Pippen took pressure off of Jordan on Defense. They were both masters at lockig down their man, or making their guy work for everything they got, tipping balls in the passing lane or even double teaming.
Remember also that in 90, Pipp wasnt even a star yet. He played end line to end line but he was a bit wild. Rose is pretty polished for a 22 yr old.

I gotta think Jordan with this D Rose wins just as many. maybe one in 90.

You take Pippen because in the triangle it's about ball movement and not the individual play sans MJ. Pippen was perfect for that system.

Could Phil have changed things up for a Rose? Sure, I'm sure he could have but if you assume he's stuck on the triangle, your traditional PG has to be able to drain the 3 consistently which is not Rose's forte.

Wrong-

Moncrief was a guard.

I will give you Pressey but Pippen was the first to win. Pressey was able to do it but that doesnt mean he was very good at it. Pressey played on some descent teams but couldnt beat the Sixers and Celtics.

I liked toni's game. Pippen was waaaaay better player but Toni was definitely a better clutch shooter. But I could never figure out why Kucoc was always able to go to his left with the left hand. Its like they never figured out he was a lefty.

I didn't mention Moncrief, but he was the same type of player Pippen was. So was Pressey. That's the point (no pun intended). When Pressey and Moncrief played together the lines between the offensive positions were blurry. And I believe Nelson experimented with Marques Johnson at that "position" before any of those guys. You tried to make it sound like Pippen revolutionized the game which is bullshit.

Every Croatian I have ever met has a personal Toni Kukoc story, what's yours?

Don't really have one. He was at the game last Saturday when I was there. There's my story.

My favorite Kukoc moment:
Bulls are playing the Pacers. Reggie Miller drains a shot with less than a second left to take the lead. Miller bows to the crowd at center court. Bulls have one last shot, and Kukoc hits a 3 for the win.

Then the next night they played in Indiana and Pippen bowed.

Seemed like it was just natural for Pip to follow

That doesn't even dignify a clever response from me.

Pippen changed the position in that no one at his position had the responsibility or the talent to perform at the highest level as he did. And he did change the game Mr. Bullshit. Name a player that was able to do what he did even close to his level. Kerry Kittles? Paul Pressey? Teyshaun Prince? Pippen created his own position. Sure he was lucky to be part of the triangle which was perfect for him but no other player ever did what he did to run an offense. Up until Scottie, 99.9% of offenses ran through a point guard other than set plays for scorers like Archibald or Marbury types. And there wasnt many things better to watch than Scottie on the defensive boards and turning it into a break ala Magic Johnson.

Take that BuLLSHITTER

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. The NBA went through many years when you didn't even need a point guard. There were no presses to break and no zone defenses. We've only relatively recently seen a return to what I would call "true point guards". In Pippen's time guys like Norm Nixon, Danny Ainge, and Doc Rivers passed for point guards. They weren't gusy who were considered permier ballhandlers in college. Ballhandling wasn't crucial the way the game was played at that time. Pippen is similar to a guy like DJ.

Scoottie was a forward. a 6-8 ass kicking, blazing shit kicker forward. Name a Forward that did what he did?

You give me Ainge? Norm Nixon?

Those guys were guards. Give me some forwards. Give me a guy that could battle for a rebound and take it to the other end either passing it to a wing or slamming the fuck out of it. Then the next time down setting an offense. Then returning to defense to shut down the opposing teams usual best scorer all the while hitting the boards and tipping passes.

There is no one. give me one.

What's the point? You wouldn't even know who the fuck they are. You're better off sticking with tinfoil hat politics.
