They fucked up the #1 pick by winning...

Football gods will smile on them for going all out in week seventeen and eliminating a team from the playoffs instead of caring about draft position. From a mystical perspective it was brilliant.

I guess I am actually pleasantly surprised that they played as hard as they did and came up with a win. The #1 pick is no guarantee you are getting the best QB in a draft as this year has proven. I am nervous they will let Schoen trade up however, because I have little doubt he will (if he survives this season). The one advantage to them losing out and keeping the #1 overall is that at least they wouldn't have had to stupidly trade up for it. It was good to see some of their young players play well though.

This isn't a good QB draft group

Yeah I agree, but if he wants Cam Ward, he isn't going to get him at #4.

You might be able to get Mc Carthy from the Vikings for #4 at this point.

What would Cousins cost? It certainly shouldn't be a #1 with his contract and play this year. I'd bet on a bounce back season after an injury.

'26 Draft will be lit. Whoever takes Miller Moss with the #1 won't regret it.

Cousins will be cut. He has a no trade clause.

Possible Justin Fields destination

all the teams who were rumored to be interested in Justin Fields will end up getting him...all within the span of about 18 months.

There's always life left in a dedicated seasoned QB like Cousins. Just not Super Bowl life. I fell in love with the guy watching Quarterbacks.

I don't see much possibility of the Schoen and Daboll going down with a retread QB (again, if either of them even survive this mess of a season in year 3 of the "rebuild"). They will do whatever they have to to draft a QB this year, their jobs depend on it.

their GM isnt going to survive this is he? they were filmed cheaping out on saquan barkley for hard knocks... then they proceeded to have an even worse season than the bear... they are on same year 3 of the GM.

they fell to pick #4 with that win. that's brutal.

My gut says both daboll and Schoen are back. Regarding Saquon, the giants did the right thing letting him go this past off-season. The problem there occurred after the 2022 season when they wanted him and Saquon over-estimated his value and forced their hand into franchising him. Had they signed him this year maybe they win another game or two this year with Saquon but the team still sucks and people would be laughing at them for wasting money on a luxury position when the team sucks so bad. Saquon could have signed long-term with the giants after 2022 but over-valued what he could get at that time. I hate the eagles but I’m happy for Saquon. He’s no victim, though.
