I think he does now after the dust has settled. And he's very upset with himself.

If the report is true, that all he had to do was apologize to keep his job, and he didn't, then he's a fucking idiot. I think he now knows that now. At the time it was pride for refusing.

Think about it. He goes down over this fish thing. Bernstein has been very proud of telling people that he blocks everybody on twitter that criticizes him. All the hateful people. People calling him "J.E.W boy" he doesn't respond to. Would be justified to go after somebody like that. But he goes after a stupid "Fish criticism". That's what got Bernstein? Very stupid.

I guarantee you Bernstein was hoping to be at the SCORE into his 70s. Now he has to scramble for other shit to do. He'll find something. But it won't be as fun nor will it be the same money.

I guess this depends on if his contract was terminated or will be paid out. If he gets to not work and be paid, I think he does not understand what he did.

I think WSCR regrets losing Dan way way way more than Dan regrets losing WSCR.

Where was this reported at?

Wasn't it reported by the same person who said he was staying at the station to begin with?

USA is right.

The Score regrets this right now more than Bernsie does.

Wasn't it people above the Score who got rid of him? I doubt they care much. They can just turn WSCR into 247 Gambling content or sell it off.

Short-term, yes.
Long-term they're better off financially without him. Just one more step to a nationally syndication re-play station.

I've known a few people like Bernstein who were one of the best at what they did and were super arrogant assholes because of it. When one of them got fired after 10 years with the same company, they just seemed to flip a switch because they had 100% confidence that it didn't matter and they'd immediately get another job.

I think getting kicked off the board of directors for Camp One Step would have much more of an impact. I hope I'm right and he legitimately cared about the charity and believed in the cause. If he didn't, it seems much more tragic for him as a human being.

You are right. Losing the charity hurts as much or more than the job. There is no one at the charity to pretend is to blame.

Not at the charity, but a perhaps pussy of a rat on this board.

Bernstein is nothing if not prideful.

He may realize that what he did was a bad decision for his career, but I doubt he has reflected on any personal shortcomings that caused him to react that way

Given what we know about his addiction to SSRIs and off-label wine, he's probably in a pretty dark place.

From a personal standpoint, his relationship that ended with One Step probably hurts him more than the one with the Score.

He has always seemed to have a bit of insecurity about being a radio host, given the professions of his family (big time doctahs and lawyas). It seems weird to most of us, but that's how wealthy, North Shore people think.

One Step seemed to be his way of showing that he is a big shot who helps society too.

My guess is he'll enter an inpatient program and become an environmental activist upon his release.

That’s what my guy at Aloha Restoration says too.

Who cares....the only time I "listened" to Bernstein was on twitter during Bears games. Will still do as I am sure he will tweet again.

That said, huge win for Audacity to dump the salary. No one listens to local AM radio, esp the 25-54 bracket. Older people listening to the cubs, sure....but local am radio is dead.
