Was sad to see this. He talked glowingly about his dad many times. Seems like a good dude. Was in his 90s so had a helluva run.

I really enjoyed when Spiegel's dad Herb was on his Hit and Run podcast. His dad was a big old time baseball fan with a vast knowledge of baseball facts and memories. They had some pretty good baseball trivia questions when the two talked. Here's one visit I was able to find.

I always found it charming that Spiegs always referred to him with the entire name, Herb Spiegel.
