After viewing that Bill Russell clip Kenny says that Bill Russell "still would have been a 12, 13 time champion" in this era. If that's the case then Bill Russell is easily the greatest athlete in the history of sports. Does this dolt realize that there are more than 8 goddamn teams in the league now? That Russell isn't going to get to play with 6 or 7 other hall of famers?

Chuck was right paying Bynum a max deal is a good way to guarantee your GM an annual spot at the lottery. Kenny doesn't bother me at all but Shaq is bad at broadcasting.

Kenny should bother you. I'm not sure if it's Shaq's influence or just natural decline in thought and knowledge.

I'm not a huge Shaq fan by any means, but he really called him out. Questioned his desire, and flat out said that in his opinion Bynum just doesn't want to play. Also kind of questioned his injury.

Didn't he get hurt earlier this year bowling? If so, that's all you need to know about this guy.

Yet he doesn't. I don't believe him to be as bad as you obviously do. But different strokes for different folks and all that. You must be a Vernon Maxwell guy huh?

Yeah I was watching. Nothing he said was wrong. Something definitely seems off about Bynum for a guy who is up for a contract he hasn't even sniffed the court.

It's not like Golden St., Houston and Utah are just going to fall apart. Portland is also climbing up the Lakers butt.

Kobe is incredible but he looks so beat up. The Thunder knock him to the floor HARD tonight at least 5 times.

Dwight's back and/or his mindset is just not right this year.

I wonder how protected all of those 1st round picks they gave up are? I might have to look into that.

I doubt they make the playoff and even if they did they would get flattened in the first round. Howard isn't getting any healthier, Pau may not come back, Nash is old and bad, and Kobe is getting his ass kicked and is going to be worn down by the playoffs. That isn't enough to make any impact in the playoffs. I don't expect any western conference team to beat the Thunder.

I'm still holding out to see what a veteran savvy team like the Spurs can do. As long as Parker's ankle is healthy obviously. But Pop is the best coach in the league by a mile. He'll have them well rested and deep.

Under the absolute perfect circumstances, the Clippers or the Grizzlies could shock some people.

I agree that Pop is the best coach, but I've soured on the Spurs the past few years. They're a brilliant regular season team but I'm not sure if they have the fire power to get past OKC. Ever since Duncan started markedly declining they haven't been the same postseason team. During this time Parker has actually gotten a lot better but I think they really miss the dominance Duncan provided on both ends, he's still excellent but he's nothing compared to what he once was. Their advantage with Duncan was just so significant, now they have an abundance of talented perimeter players, but most of the contenders have the same.

I just wonder how long they can keep this up. They've lost Gasol and Jordan Hill. Earl Clark has come crashing back to Earth. Jamison has regressed alarmingly this entire year. Kobe has been doing it all and is banged up as all get out. World Peace has been playing out of his mind this year and well above projections. Nash is held together by a string and Dwights not right.

I just think those other teams are tough enough to probably fight them off.

EDIT:

Mike Bresnahan ‏@Mike_Bresnahan
Metta World Peace rolled his right ankle and is getting X-rays right now.

This team is so old and injured it's unbelievable. I'm genuinely intrigued in their future. I'm not sold that Howard will return to L.A. and even if he did I don't think he's going to be leading them to championships. Then you have to consider that Kobe will probably only play another few years. Who does Kobe hand the franchise off to? For the last 4, 5 decades the Lakers have had premier franchise players and it'll be interesting if they can find that guy again.

Power, you're kind of fun to shoot the shit with. I can't lie in saying that I thought you gave Bagels some horrendous advice, but other than that, damn man, make yourself more noticeable if ya got the time.

But giving out horrendous unwanted advice is one of my greatest traits.

Shaq makes me laugh at least a few times a show. I like him. Kenny too. Hell, I even like EJ as the straight man of the group. The entire Inside the NBA team can do no wrong.

I'm just saying, me as an NBA freak would have no problem hearing about Damian Lillard just as much as I hear about Dwight Howard.

I get annoyed with this too. Just havent mentioned it much on here because it's pointless to bitch about, but it is getting really ridiculous just how much coverage an average team like the Lakers is getting this year. There's at least a dozen other teams in the NBA right now that I'd rather hear about. I just dont really find anything interesting about the Lakers this year.

There are 2 games in the NBA and TNT has them both this eve starting @ 7P. The Thunder & Knicks clash in New York. It's unclear if Carmelo Anthony & his knee are a go this eve after missing the Pistons' game last night in Auburn Hills, MI. That's followed by Clippers/Nuggets in Denver. Those Nuggets are so good at Pepsi Center, 26-3 this season and currently the #5 seed in the West, while the Clips appear to be locked in as the #3.

Denver is a fun team but they'll never go anywhere until they get a true go to guy. A collection of very good players doesn't cut it.

News flash: There aren't really teams going anywhere in the NBA. There is the Heat, the Spurs and the Thunder and that's it. Nobody else really has a chance.

I hate to play the Dan Bernstein role, but I think we have to be realistic. The problem with the NBA is they have too few star players to go around. If the league could be contracted by about 10 teams then everyone might have a better shot. But the way it is now LeBron, Wade and Bosh pretty much ruined any other team's chances for the next year or two by teaming up. And Durant and Westbrook are going to be top dogs for awhile after the Heat cools off. While I do think the new salary cap rules for the NBA will punish teams like the Lakers who just buy players, in a way it could also be bad in that it makes trades much more difficult. There aren't enough star players to go around and when a team loses a star player to trade or free agency a lot of the franchises end up in the lottery (i.e. Cleveland, Toronto, Minnesota, New Orleans, etc.).

Not a fan of the "blowout" look.

Nick Young still has the best afro in the NBA.

Lakers shot 47 free throws against the Magic and Howard attempted 39 free throws. He made 25 of 39 free throws.

Celtics lost to the Bobcats.

Yeah, I'm thinking if you are one of the top seeds in the West you might want to avoid the Lakers.

Kobe has been awesome this year, but I can't imagine SA or OKC are worried about the Lakers. I don't think they have enough to beat good teams.

We will see, but I think if you are one of those teams you would rather play someone else that's for sure.

#Truth.

I'd probably rather play the Bucks.
