That's how you do it...pitching, defense, clutch hitting and a never-say-die determination. Never settle for less than the mountaintop; division titles and playoff preliminaries be damned. It's all about winning the World Series and the White Sox were singularly focused on achieving the ultimate goal. Count me as one impressed Cubs fan. Congratulations White Sox...and White Sox fans. I am humbled by your greatness. And pissed off at my team's lack of character in comparison...but that's for another day and another place. Tonight is your night Sox fans...enjoy!

I am a Cubs fan too and am happy for the Sox, at least they are a real team with an owner that wants to win.

Only thing that surprises me is that it seems not that much celebrating going on in Chicago. They are showing on the news some celebrations but it's like maybe groups of 20-30 people all around the city. No riots or major havoc as they thought there might be.

Maybe if they won it all at home it would be a bigger celebration.

Congrats to the White Sox and Congrats to their fans. Enjoy your time. You deserve it.

Sox fans are celebrating, I'm sure. And maybe Sox fans are showing their true class that they don't have to burn cars in the street, vandalize or commit public acts of drunkenness in the streets to properly celebrate like responsible adults. Let's hope it stays that way. I'm sure there will be dumbasses come out and do something stupid. There always are. Whether they are Sox fans is another issue.

Thank you King. Appreciate the sentiment. While I am a Sox fan, I've never been a Cub's hater. I was pulling for them in '03,and for the city as a whole. I really do respect the thinking Cub fan. What I can't stand are these robotized sheep who fill Wrigley, and would rather blame a nonexistant "curse", than address the truth.

man, this IS great! Congrats to your White Sox...YOU are the Sox fan i'm SO FUKKING HAPPY FOR! The cool White Sox fan who doesn't need to bash the thinking Cub fan, just as we good Cub fans don't have to bash the Sox...congrats to everyone involved with bringing the World Series trophy BACK to Chicago....even if it IS on the south side!
