I can't believe when I just checked that their stock was north of $500.

Rice is okay as long as they don't put a shit-ton in there. If it were Spanish rice that'd be better.

The worst thing is stuffing breakfast burritos with potatoes. Get that shit out of there and put some more meat in (hey buddy).

california burritos use fries. had one in san diego and it was the suck

Call me crazy....but it almost seems like different people like different things in their burrito...and maybe restaurants and 'burrito shops' have figured out how to make it profitable to cater to people's individual tastes!

Hey bigfan - Top 100 Burritos in the Chicagoland area?

Hey bigfan - Top 100 Burritos in the Chicagoland area?

some people have awful tastes and should not be allowed to dictate market offerings with their dollars.

mayo is a good example. those people need to be shot.

the existence of arby's is also a good example of terrible tastes allowing horrible food to exist.

I've never tried mayo on a Beef n Cheddar before.

I will resolve that before the end of the week.

Then you'll be happy to know that I haven't set foot in a Chipolte in years despite living and working 1 block from one. I do, however, go to Taqueria San Juancito on Kedzie and Lawrence once a week and sometimes twice if I'm really in the mood.

Chipotle is ass. Want to pay $7 bucks for a burrito filled with a half pound of rice? No thanks.

Agree. And it's bland as hell. No real flavor.
I think I've eaten it 3 times in my life.

But my 7 year old loves it, so that kinda speaks volumes in regard to this thread.

I have never understood the love people have for Chipotle.

I was with a group traveling a few weeks back. We passed one and people freaked out and had to stop and have a meal there.

I was completely unimpressed.

I would rather have a crappy ass burrito from taco bell

Yeah maybe, especially at 1/3 of the price. Give me two of the Taco Bell salt-bombs over one bland Chipotle, even though Taco Bell has worse music playing.

I'd rather have a burrito from another place that seems to specialize in burritos. Shops like that actually exist, despite popular belief.

Burrito Loco, El Famous Burrito, you know.
Burritoville (for the NIU peeps)

Agree with the last two replies 100%. "Completely unimpressed" suits Chipotle to a T. I think I have had Chipotle about 5 times in my life, as I used to get a gift card almost every year from a vendor at my previous job. If I never eat at one again I would be OK with it.

Given the choice, I would rather have Pizza Hut.

yea, you'd rather have Pizza Hut and Taco Bell than Chipotle ? you're an idiot

you can argue taste but at least Chipotle is semi-real food. I trust that the chicken is actually real chicken and not frankenfood
you can see them cooking and preparing the items. the fucking dough is shipped in frozen at pizza hut....

I'm not a Chipotle fan by any stretch, but my wife likes it.

Their carnitas aren't bad

The bad part about Chipotle is that the temperatures are never right. The rice and protein and usually warm, while the other items (salsa, beans, etc) are usually cold. So it ends up a weird hot-cold meal.

I find it weird when people refer to meat as protein. While an accurate description, it just sounds funny.

It is weird.

I figured I'd use it since they do have some meat-free options.

i like the sofritas
when they first had it there was a promo where if you bought one items w/ sofritas you got a coupon for an item of your choice (any meat) next visit...so basically they were letting you try it for free. it's not bad at all , i order it occasionally

Chipotle's is good. Yea, it's kind of bland but pretty much all Mexican food is bland. Claiming there are far superior burrito places is silly. It's relatively all the same.
